As a chelsea fan I'll tell you that under Tuchel you may not see the beautiful possession based football but with good players we will see good set up especially in defending. Defending as whole not only the back four but also the forwards will work hard to win back the balls. Having such a quality of players This is a positive appointment than any other English managers.

Tuchel's formations will actually get the best out of England in both defense and attack. His defensive philosophies make it so difficult for opposing teams as he has the back 5 and two centre midfielders play in such close proximity when defending that its a nightmare for teams to breakthrough. When going forward, Tuchel's systems require both wing backs to be heavily involved in the attack and whip lots of balls into the box. With Trent Alexander-Arnold and ideally Bukayo Saka, this would give England two of the best crosses in the world on either wing. Not to mention Bellingham and Palmer along with Kane would run absolutely riot. When Saka goes forward, England's defense goes to a normal back four with Shaw , Stones, White(or Walker) and Trent. When Trent goes forward, it still goes to a back 4 with Rice dropping back into the back 4 and Ben White( or Walker) shifting over to RB with Bellingham or Palmer dropping into centre midfield beside Mainoo. Saka would have to sacrifice a little bit but England get Two elite crossers of the ball in TAA and Saka on either wing. Bellingham and Palmer get to play in their natural positions, Rice and Mainoo get to continue doing what they do. Great appointment for me, has a proven record, knows when to apply offensive or defensive tactics and also said to be a good coach on the training pitch. Realistically I don’t think there was a better English option currently with Tuchel’s pedigree, get behind the boys everybody and let’s see if he can take us to the next level.

My only concern is that Germany may want him one day, but is that a negative thing? Personally I'm delighted. Trophies & experience of working with top players. Out of the English contingent Howe was the best, but I think it would be too early for him. Do we have youngsters on here that don’t remember Sven or Fabio? It didn’t work with them and I doubt it will work with Thomas. Not because he’s German but because he will face the same hurdles to overcome that any England manager will overcome: not enough time to drill players with their philosophy, the players he wants to play injured or out of form turning up each summer before the tournament, played abroad in a hot climate where keeping the ball and progressing it upfield and getting enough touches in the opposition box. Not relying just on freekicks, corners and penalties to score and not conceding silly goals.
