Good advice! Keep practicing to build confidence, and really know your content. Knowing what you're talking about means less thinking time to make stuff up. Equals less ummms.

Pauses are fine. Now many editing software programs have silence detection which allows pauses to be quickly removed. It's still necessary to hide the cuts with transitions of B-roll but that is relatively easy.

I find a lot of people that say umm a lot, lie ...and use umm to give them some time to make something up, I'm sorry just saying
