I really love how viewers welcomed with the cool video transition for the opening of this video. But i think it is not just the zoom transitions, but also with the right drop track that give you the rush as the viewers. Awesome job!

I love transitions between totally different scenes - its paranormal and I love impossible things. Amazing.

Excellent Video! Knowing the technical aspect of how to do these transitions is really only half of the equation, so these tips are really helpful to actually use these transitions in an effective and meaningul way
@prtzy7 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot Thomas. Everyone on youtube is currently teaching the technicalities and missing out the essence of why this zoom was invented. Thanks again for the awesome video and explaining the importance of it!
@leonstoel90287 жыл бұрын
wow. you´re just making everything right man ! that´s the way how People should be teached to do Things they want. Not a technical receipt, but an idea an Feeling on how to do it, without telling excatly what to do. I really like this, because now you have to figure out how to get it right for you yourself and thats great ! On top of that the last part in the Programm is also not to detailed...but you also give the opportunity too, by linking to the Tutorial. So big congrats for finding a niche style of KZbin Teaching ! greetings from Germany and keep the cool work... Be inspired by your travel :)

Hope you do a video on your sony lenses! New subscriber here. Your style is somewhat a mix of Brandon Li's cinematics and sounds with Sam Kolder's editing. It's so refreshing to see that style set in an urban place (saw your London vlog) and not just the usual tropical tourist places.
@DaveTrippin8 жыл бұрын
Haha right on man. Ask and you shall receive. I posted on your California dreams video asking for this specific tutorial. Cheers and thanks for the effort. Subbed. I've no-where near the ability of editing as yourself but I'm learning a lot and I credit your vids with some excellent inspiration. I'm always telling people how they need to look deeper on KZbin to find some amazing hidden gems.

Yep I saw like half the comments wanted a video on transitions haha

Thomas Alex Norman I particularly enjoyed the humour of the substanceless transitions. Vid could go viral on that alone. Also thanks for the recommendation on Brandon li.. The guy is insanely good.

The advice to use transitions between shots that are connected (forest / trees) was super helpful. I was putting transitions between unrelated shots and wondering why it felt like “too much”. Needed that advice! Thank you for these videos. PS as a beginner I’m doing everything manually on my phone using ishot app. So need to hack some of the transitions to get the same effect as a real editor.

By thw way, I have a question/s. 1) Your video light is great and color too, what settings did you apply just wondering? especially your white shirt is clear, can't say if bightness has been added coz even the grass is perfectly green. 2) Can you also make videos on how to get stuff done on sony vegas pro which is used by like almost half the Asian's since mostly we use windows as our OS

Quality videos man. I'm just putting together my first video now. I was wondering if you had some transition tips from going between subjects that aren't totally related?? Context: I took a bike trip with some mates in Uganda and I've got loads of footage from riding the motorbike inbetween game reserves and white water rafting etc. I want to keep the order of the film the same as the trip so looking to bring each event together nicely but as you can expect a bike zooming past doesn't flow into a nice shot of a rhino too well. Disclaimer: It was the first footage I'd taken so it's not the greatest either and all filmed on GoPros off the side of a helmet or a pole. Thanks in advance

Hey Thomas, while I love your thinking with the angle of the wave and where/how it crushes, I believe you should have taken the sun as „anchor“. just moving the zoomed-in crop a bit to the left would have made it smoother IMO, now it‘s a bit jumpy. Your principle still holds true though. Thanks for your efforts in creating such videos. You have a good way to teach
