I’ve been eating two scoops of whey protein isolate, is so pure is one brand and then there is another brand on Amazon. I am noticing after a couple of weeks of doing almost 100 g of protein a day mixed between the whey protein isolate, and regular Protein food that there are subtle changes in my body in that it’s healing areas that I thought would never start to respond. My eyesight somehow has improved slightly. My gums have improved slightly my ability to stay up an extra hour has gotten better. somehow I was protein deficient, and taking the isolate is allowing my body to absorb all of the protein. This observation that caffeine “completely eliminated” the benefits of creatine has been taken to heart by many in the sports nutrition community, despite the obvious flaw of this study design: only 9 test subjects were observed, which is far too low a test sample to derive any definitive conclusions. Granted, this doesn’t mean the conclusion is void and unreasonable. However, the legacy of this study, as manifested in the widespread belief that stacking creatine and caffeine is “bad,” is overhyped and largely unfounded. A large amount of creatine and caffeine users have noticed significant improvements in their exercise performance and body composition.

There is no good proof that caffeine cancels creatine
@Vincent_Beers5 ай бұрын
I just know from my own experience, and I've tested it a few times. I get better results if I stick with caffeine in the first half of the day and creatine in the second half of the day. Taking them together just doesn't have the same kick. I don't feel bad, it just doesn't feel like I've had my normal amount of caffeine. Also I don't feel any immediate results from creatine anyway, I feel better recovery and strength gain over time with it, but it's not the instant boost that caffeine or L-citrulline provides. So at least for me I know it feels better not taking them together before a work out. Maybe you just need to test it and find your own results. For me it's caffeine and L-citrulline pre workout. EAA and electrolytes during work out. Protein and creatine after work out. Beyond that I just eat real food, omnivore, whatever I want but mostly healthy choices and ensure enough protein and fiber intake before piling on fat or carbs.

@RaimoTamm5 ай бұрын
It is shown in studies, that every 8 people out of 10 feels and/or sees benefits from taking creatine as a supplement. If you don’t see/feel any benefits taking extra creatine, it might be you get enough from food you consume. And the extra doesn’t give you any extra benefits. Because there is so called upper limit, that determines the amount of substance (creatine) that gives you effects. And different people have different levels that is their upper limit. That all being said, it might be you still get some benefits when taking creatine as supplement, but you don’t get so obvious effects from it that you could notice these effects so clearly. It still could have some metabolic positivities for you. No need to over do it. Meaning don’t start taking huge dosages and/or a lot of doses a day. Approximately 5 g a day is OK. And if not choosing the most expensive brands, then it’s not something to consider as a expensive thing to supplement with. Just give it some time - might also be that it takes time for your body to build up the amount in your body and the ability to use creatine effectively enough in order you to notice the difference. And another thing to take into consideration. The benefits of supplementing with creatine might not appear if not training with enough intensity. And somewhat the same goes when training with too much intensity with a lot of volume. It might cover the benefits of creatine - you might get the benefits, but overtraining creates the misunderstanding, that creatine is not working, because the overtraining state hinders your progress.

I dig what you do, Thomas. A lot of people don't know this...but if you're an Athlete that also has an affinity towards geeking out on science ~ its very hard not to get excited over any new research that slaps the air-waves. As long as Thomas is always adding caveats, which he does ALWAYS if you pay attention...example: "the research "SUGGESTS", (versus calling it a hard fact)...then he is doing the right thing and presenting new data in the right way. If you dont pick up on those nuances...then that's on you, the viewer... slash maybe troll. Its very hard as an athlete to not want to know more and dive deeper. More information, the better. Its up to you, the viewer, to take things with the correct grain of salt to take a video as inspiration to then maybe go and do some MORE research before youre making decisions on what to put into your body. And a bonus for merely dissemenating the information that Thomas gets is sponsorships. Thats capitalism, thats the reward for the effort...but at least for YEARS now, he adds the caveats and doesnt get too overly excited to tell the fans "hey DEFINITELY do this!" So bugger off to the trolls, and cheers from NY Thomas.

Muscles are literally mostly water, like the rest of our bodies. Seems pretty useful is you step back and really think about it...

creatine is an energy source. It allows you to rapidly re-use ATP which enables you to work at a higher intensity, which allows you to build more muscle from your exercise.

This is a clip from our longer form video where we’re having back and forth on the subject. If you look at all my interviews probably the most common comment I get is that I’m very good at just listening and letting the guest share their insights.
