I've been doing the side braid to deal with short wispy sides as my hair regrows. One side always comes out way nicer, a lot of it comes down to sectioning the hair properly

Hi Thomas! I currently have an undercut top knot, so really short on the sides. I really want to go for a full man bun, which means I'll have to grow everything out, but I'm kinda dreading the "awkward phase"... I can't see it looking good at all. Especially with my hair type - I have wavy hair, not as curly as yours but definitely not straight either. And it has a mind of its own :) Any tips for growing the sides out? What will it look like when the hair on the side is like 5-10 cm long? Seems hella weird to me! It says: "10 verschiedene Mann Brötchen Variationen - Männer lange Frisuren". If you translate this back to english it means: 10 different man bread variations - man lanky hairstyle!
