Somewhere Far Beyond was my first and still favorite BG album. After Time What Is Time hit me from very beginning, I was like "Holly *****! what is it gonna be next?!" And the next was awesome) oh... 24 years have passed since then,, still awesome )) Around the same time I decided that I wanted to become a drummer)

Masterpiece from Somewhere far Beyond!Hast du ja eh damals getrommelt,aber klingt jetzt frischer und knackiger,und hier geht mal ein gesonderter Dank an dich,Thomen!Für die fantastisch audiophil klingenden Drum Cover Songs,dein Schlagzeugspiel ist zwar präsent,aber die Originalsongs sind perfekt angeglichen,da freut sich jede gute Anlage..!👌🤩👊🤩(Ps:habe ja auch gerade laut dein Drum Cover von Qeensryche Walk in the Shadows gehört,da könnte es noch eine Steigerung für uns hier geben,und zwar meinen Queensryche Lieblingssong Warning!Ich weiss nicht ob du auch das VHS Demo Tape hast,Live in Tokyo,wurde ja niemals auf CD oder Vinyl veröffentlicht,aber tatsächlich hier auf der Tube zu finden..Beim Song Warning haut Scott Rockenfield richtig geil am Anfang schon auf die Kessel,diese Version von dir gedrumcovered im besten Sound würde nicht nur mich umpusten..!💪🙏🤘🤘👊🤩

First album I heard by Blind Guardian, and I immersed myself in it's charm, epic and legendary, this album is beautiful, with epic melodies, speed and lyrics from fantasy books by Tolkien and Michael Moorcock, incredible, and of course, The first thing that caught me was the drums, that speed and great mastery of the double pedal, a very powerful speed metal. thank you Mr. Thomen, once again for your videos, I big fan from Costa Rica

dear thomen, last sunday i went to see BG for the 4th time in my life (a BG show is a super rare thing in my country). the setlist was full of old era songs which is perfect for me but something big was missing. i’m not good at drumming terminology. something is not right with the drums for years, especially live! can’t feel the same f*cking thing anymore. i miss you man. you’re unique.

@@apathynoir On double bass parts i always used the X-Hats. On slower parts, especially with hi-hat openings or when i play double handed on hi-hat, i used the left hi-hat. 🤗🤗

Beides, wenn sich der Click mit KI berechnen lässt. Das schlägt manchmal fehl, besonders bei extrem tempischwankenden Songs aus alten Zeiten, aber dann wird es oft schwer dazu zu performen. Daher fallen einige Songs raus für mich, die ich schon seit langem covern wollte. Z.B. Testament-COTLOD oder Metallica-Metal Melitia 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️😪
