They were great at putting exotic instruments into their songs and making a sound that was completely their and that could never be complicated. And their use of a xylophone was just hands down the best doing their very successful run .

I find myself wondering why I never bought any of their albums back in ‘84 then I would have known this track. Maybe I just never had the dough. I liked Hold Me Now, Lay your Hands, King for a Day, Doctor Doctor. Might have been there was just so much choice in that part of the decade with the second British Invasion. I know for sure their songs got a lot of airplay here in Canada.

A great song why this wasn't a top 10 hit it's well done by the xylophone makes it a classic track one of the best the twins did apart from doctor doctor still 40 years later it's still played on greatest hits and others the 80s music is far better than today's and we had top of the pops too not the same now but we still love it on bbc 4 still 😊😊😊

Lots of new chart bands at the start of the 80's Thompson Twins I always felt were under rated in this line up, they were talented and made some great memorable songs, this is one of them and a really good live performance of.

I love the Thomson Twins. But these live performances arent as tight as they could be. But to me they were brilliant studio song writers. Alana Currie is a New Zealander and married Tom Bailey (singer) and settled here in New Zealand.
