Original recording from German TV live coverage of the show from July 13, 1985.
This song was not incorporated into the Live Aid DVDs as according to some sources there was no quality video available, so I guess this might be the best there is...
Unfortunately the first 40 seconds or so the video was of extremely low quality but the sound was good, hence the titles at the beginning. Thompson Twins were presented by Bette Midler.
Will Lee on bass, Nile Rodgers and Felicia Collins on guitar, Philippe Saisse and Rob Sabino on keys

Yes It's NILE Rodgers from Chic. In 1985 he had helped Tom Bailey produce the new Thompson Twins album "Here's to Future Days" so he joined them onstage. He was also working in the studio with Madonna during this time and that's why Madonna ended up joining the Twins and Nile during their set on Live Aid. The TV people gave Madonna too much attention instead of focusing on the Twins. Madonna also stole Alannah's microphone during the performance !

So underrated at JFK Stadium for Live Aid. Sure, it was out of tune and a bit rambling, but they were given 12 minutes to set up all of their equipment. Just look at all that percussion, for example! But they also sang 'Revolution' with Steve Stevens on guitar, plus Nile Rodgers and the overrated Madonna, and that was well received by the crowd. Still a big fan of the Thompson Twins.

For people who are complaining about how bad Tom's singing is here: I'd like to see you go onstage, with no soundcheck (and hence no chance to get the monitors balanced the way you want) and try singing. He probably couldn't hear himself very well. BTW, the black girl playing the Steinberger guitar is Felicia Collins, who now plays with The CBS Orchestra on David Letterman's show.
