There's no more creativity in music anymore. It's always the same. The voices all sound the same and just can't capture the magic of the decades of old. Though contradictory to that statement there are a lot of amazing synth wave of today I discovered a lot of them through this retro wave wallpapers app on my phone that plays retro style synthwave music, my all time favorite would be this song called Still Haunting Me by Magic Dance. I highly recommend it, it needs to be heard. But in general the standard popular music is today just has no magic anymore.

This tune always gets me, tear jerker. I was only 7 in 1983, Christmas 1983 to be exact I first heard this magnificent new wave tune. A much simpler time, safer society here in Ireland, all of our loved ones from back then, gone from us now. Back then, in 1984 we had nothing, but we had everything. 2024, we have everything, but we've got nothing. That's the difference you see.

I was in middle school when this came out. I heard it on the radio and made my parents sit in the car with me in the garage until it was done. I don't care about who is still listening in 2024. What I will say is this song was released in 1983. For those of us who were in our late teens to early 20's, it was a great time in life and music. I love the feeling it still gives me now that I'm in my early 60's.

Was on a red-eye from SFO to Orlando FL to go to Navy boot camp on December 18, 1983, had a back row of seats all to myself. Fell asleep during flight with headphones on my ears, connected to plane's audio system. Hold Me Now along with a few other songs were in a continuous playing loop over a few hours I was asleep and this song is thankfully Ingrained in my head for life. Beautiful song along with Spandau Ballet's "True", and Simply Red's "Holding Back the Years". Good to see more of you out there appreciate the music.

This song popped into my head the other day, out of the blue. When it came out, It struck me hard at the time, 12, clueless, and skipping along the pond of life. 39 years later, I'm blown away at how well produced, arranged, and performed it is. The 80's just crushed it, and I'm lucky to have been coming of age at the time. It sent me on an 80's journey of music.

J'm an Italian fan 58 years old and j have a big dream for me It's criminal that a band like them isn't playing their Art anymore J'd like to suggest a maybe utopistic proposal: why all' the fans that still love them so much and we'll always do won't all make a petition a collection of signatures and send to all' of them asking to reform their fantastic band?Maybe it's a crazy idea but why we don't try and proove Them how much we still love Them j really hope someone will join my idea

Back in those days. Music was still meant for freedom! Look at the 60s, 70s. The 80s was a natural progression from something beautiful, into something more beautiful! There was so many interesting styles in the 80s. From punk to new wave to reggae and so on.✌️
