Thor: The Dark World is 10 years old! Remains one of the least reviewed entries in the marvel cinematic universe and least favorited by fans and critics Made $664 million worldwide on a budget of $150 million Low numbers for Phase Two of the MCU A lot of messy ness as far as the production; script rewrites, reshoots, re-edits that changed director Alan Taylor's original vision It definitely has much better action than the original movie And I’m glad we get to see more of Asgard There’s so much complicated backstory they have to cram in to establish the main threat of the Aether aka the Reality Stone, one of the six Infinity Stones It’s just a shame that the villain Malekith while he’s played by Christopher Eccelston who’s very talented he’s just very boring It didn’t help the actor declared he hated working on the project Plus the look of the Dark Elves’ homeworld is so empty and dull-looking So much of the humor in here is just downright childish it’s kinda baffling And it felt pretty unfair that a supporting character here was about to get a chance to shine but ultimately was robbed of that killing them off The highlight is Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston as Thor and Loki; their constant banter of sibling rivalry makes for some palpable chemistry Hemsworth is very stone-faced and the most serious he’s been here playing this character being very stoic and unwavering being in a more darker mental place Natalie Portman as Jane gets a lot more to do working on her romance with the God of Thunder And the climax has some creative ideas mixing the science with the magic To be fair the film was under a lot of pressure from Marvel Studios and Portman made it quite clear she was dissatisfied about what it did to her career Thankfully this would lead to much better installments in the MCU roster and have Thor be more than a C-list character actually developing a personality, so we can count our blessings for that Brutality and sacrifice changes people, being a good man is better than trying to be a good king, a true king accepts defeat and loss It’s still entertaining to watch though a lot of its narrative is overly convoluted mixing self-seriousness and silly humor It doesn’t all work and there’s nothing to chew on emotionally but it should be commended that this wasn’t the nail in the coffin for Thor or the future of the MCU

This movie... I loved it. It had a very good story and it was awesome. I was never bored... I would watch it again, the movie was amazing.

This film was worth the 1 month wait.Yeah the villain wasn't great but Ultron and Thanos should be memorable in the Avengers sequels mark my words.

Finally heard someone not praise a Marvel film to the high heavens. The Thor movies are the worst they have to offer. The only good thing in the movie was Loki, and after 2 or 3 more movies, Marvel can't do villains.

The best part of this movie oh im gonna sound like a Loki fangirl even thought im a marvel fan boy Loki was the best part i kind of liked the first film more then this one the villian was nt as interesting as the first one this film i almost lost it then i got the ending i got im like ok with that kind of ending this could get intersting not as good as the first one but 3rd one could prove it self worthy i liked thor but i saw more emotion from loki then i did from thor god its like im sucking Lokis duk right now but id give it a 6/10 or 7/10 id say 6.6/10

I saw this movie today on my 4k Sony Bravia tv with my mom and we both did enjoy it and I didn’t not like some parts of the movie and we will get to that and Thor played by Chris Hemsworth does a good job as this character and I’m glad that he came back too since he was awesome in this movie like he did in the first movie and same goes for Jane Foster played by Natalie Portman she did a great job too and she is so beautiful and gorgeous too and I always love her as a actress too and I’m glad that she came back too and Loki played by Tom Hiddleston he did okay job but he so waste in this movie tho and he dies too halfway through the movie and he comes back out of nowhere at the end of the movie and it was stupid to me too and Sif played by Jaimie Alexander she did a great job too and she is so sexy as he’ll bro and she is so gorgeous too and Idris Elba did okay job but barley in it tho and same goes with Anthony Hopkins too barley in the movie and both of them are waste too and I wish they had the fight scene with Malekith so they both can help Thor out taking out the bad guy or something like that and I can’t believe next year it will be the 10th year anniversary when this movie came out and I can’t believe it been that many years ago too and time sure does flies in the movie world that’s for damn sure bro and I remember I graduated from high school just before this movie came out in theaters 9 years ago and overall I’m gonna give Thor 2 The Dark World 2013 a 8/10 stars I did enjoy this movie for what it was but could of been better tho and I hated the ending and the post credits scenes too but that just me though in my opinions on this movie bro

I think if that was the plan, then they'd be putting all their eggs in one basket.I like to think they wouldn't be that short-sighted but corporations (especially Marvel movies) have a history of putting future projects before what's happening right now in their films.

I didn't intend to come off as immature and i'm a fanboy of both marvel and dc but i'll state why i like Man of steel more than thor the dark world i.e.the reason why thor the dark world pissed me off so much was because everything man of steel did perfectly well with a great execution thor the dark wo rld did the exact opposite i.e. In man of steel jor-el aka supermans dad was willing to teach lois lane how to fight back and defend herself and taught her how to stop zod and in turn she was able to convey to superman how they can stop zod so right then and there jor-el treating lois lane with kindness,warmth and compassion whereas in thor the dark world odin aka thors father treated jane fostet terribly bad and was very crude and cold towards her. Also in man of steel when supermans earth mom martha kent was being threatened by zod and his people and he was about to destroy her until superman was able to save her life right in the nick of time and she still survives since he interceded for her on time whereas in thor the dark world it was the exact opposite when thors mother was being threatened by malekith and algrim/kurse she got killed off too soon by algrim/kurse and thor wasn't fast enough to save his mothers life. Also despite the beatings Superman went through with faora and that tall guy Namek he was still able to hold his own without a scratch and bruise and he was fighting with that tall guy Namek again and he landed one last powerful punch on Namek that Namek got thrown through the train steel mill and exploded and died whereas in thor the dark world that was also the exact opposite because when thor was also fighting a big guy algrim/kurse unlike Superman where he was able to hold his own with Namek without getting scratches and bruises and defeated Namek on his own thor got his butt whupped so badly by algrim/kurse where kurse was pounding and pounding on thor to the ground so much that loki was the one who saved his life and sacrificed himself for thor because thor couldn't handle kurse the sameway Superman was able to handle Namek on his own that pissed me off because the director alan taylor of thor the dark world didn't use thor to his greatest potential the way he was supposed to which got me very upset because zack snyder used Superman perfectly well to his greatest potential ever and alan taylor should've done the samething with thor. Also in no point in the movie of Man of steel did we ever see henry cavills Superman character go to the subway train and depend on transportation to go from point A to point C at all whereas with thor the dark world which i find pretty silly that the god of thunder at the climactic scene where you find thor going to the subway train station just to get to greenwich to deal with malekith and i was looking at how ridiculous that scene of the movie is and felt that alan taylor did a very poor job in not letting thor be thor and letting the character live up to his potential the sameway zack snyder allowed Superman to be Superman and letting the character live fully to his potential and alan taylor should've done the samething with thor but he didn't which really got me annoyed and upset.

John Avenger Avenger Thor the dark world sucks it's garbage and Man of steel is a million times way better than that piece of junk because the action the energy and the excitement in Man of steel blows thor the dark world out of the park and with Man of steel 2 aka Batman Vs Superman Movie that they're working on right now is going to be a million times way better and also it's going to be a way SUPERIOR Movie to the boring dull lame mediocre ridiculously stupid and tedious thor the dark world lol.
