You have no idea….the magic of this video; I never could properly imagine the posterior oblique sling, I like the explanation, thank you. Now I can program exercises for my clients, to take account of this fascia plane

Thank you for educating me. I've had back pain when I move from sleeping to standing. It is under treatment now. I'm trying to research my problem, and you helped immensely. Beats going to the library! Thanks again!

im fascinated by the thoracolumbar fascia....whether taking a deep breath, laying down for sleep, sitting in a chair or working out, just (since) being conscience about its existence & knowing about its purpose, makes everything easier/much less painfull...and slowly but surely heal the ailments of your body...even help make gains again .... all by simply gaining more (& more) balance ....

I'm learning the butterfly stroke in water. During propulsion,, the hips are important to work, but I also want this to connect with my back. This creates a long-lasting and more energy efficient dolphin. I believe the thoracolumbar fascia is something I need to activate during the dolphin kick.

Hello. I have a question. My back hurts so much, especially when the T-L junction is so stiff that sometimes it's hard to breathe. No matter how hard I searched, I didn't know what the problem was. Would it be better to make Lattisimus dorsi flexible?

is there any way to reduce thoracolumbar flexion compensation ,, this part sticking out
@MrKlowe1911 жыл бұрын
it's not a muscle but a connective part linking a number of muscles together. very important to have balance between these muscles. google Multifidus, Longissimus lumborum, Iliocostalis Lumborum et thoracis and the internal and external oblique and tranversus abdominis. all these muscles are involved in spinal stability and general whole body movement.

If you're a power athlete if this is sore or tired take a break I find most of my power comes from mobility in the thoracolumbar fascia.

The video is mislabeled; it should've been called Posterior Oblique Sling as you didn't explain anything about the thoracolumbar fascia or how to release it.

I was diagnosed with myofascial pain in my lower back today. I had a second opinion. So, I only have pain when walking for more than 10-15 minutes. Then this soreness starts above my PSIS on both sides.. Eventually, the pain gets more intense like a tightness that cannot be ignored. I then flex or sit and I feel a very deep midline stretch from the sacrum to the upper lumbar. Then I can go another 10-15 min. Nothing I do seems to help or hurt it. I can go for an hour or more on an elliptical, mainly b/c it is like an active and constant stretch. What can I do?
