I want to thank everyone who stopped to answer this question... this episode wouldn't be possible without YOU. Thank you for your kindness in stopping to hear me out and your braveness in answering the question. I try to put as many answers as I can in the episode, however, not every answer goes on the page. Please know that if your answer is not in the episode, it does not take away from the importance of your story. There are many outside variables that determine the order and answers that go in the episode. Things like duration, flow, variety in answers, ensuring a diverse range of voices, overall feel of an episode, and sometimes background noise, or other audio and visual problems. I love you all. Thank you ❤

@user-oh1mk6qq8u4 жыл бұрын
@Karin Korenkova "No one is born ugly" meaning that though some people call you ugly there are still some people who think they are beautiful. Just like you said "beauty can be in the eye of the beholder". "We just live in a judgemental society" no one should call someone ugly just because you find them ugly because ugly and beautiful should be judged by them on the inside. Mostly the people who call others ugly are called ugly by others so if a 100 stops everyone stops. Together we should defend everyone and judge beauty not by the outside but the inside. Just like we all have different understandings we all have standards for beauty but we should keep them to ourselves and love eachother not for their looks but their personality.
@thelastpigeon80984 жыл бұрын
@@user-oh1mk6qq8u If someone is bad looking few people will think they are good looking while the majority will think they aren’t and vice versa. That is an indisputable fact. Its nice to say this isnt true for motivational purposes but sadly that isnt the case.
@user-oh1mk6qq8u4 жыл бұрын
@@thelastpigeon8098 Hmm let's look at this. What do you mean by that "bad looking"? Huh by your standards? That bad looking is chosen by us not anyone else. Korea and most of Asia likes fair skin but America likes tanned skin so if you are tanned in front of the people that like fair skin (an example) and consider it as beauty then you are bad looking in their eyes and same goes with people who liked tanned skin. It also happens to eye size, lip size, lip color, weight, height and the list goes on. If someone is the opposite of what the people in their country state or city consider as beauty then they are bad looking to them but still good looking in the place where they consider what they are as beauty so they still are beautiful. Your statement was true but also quite wrong. The people decide who is beautiful and who isn't. One might find you bad looking but others might find you good looking. Let's say there is a most beautiful women and man in the world. Then, you are exposed to the people from all over the world. Do you say that that particular person will be considered beautiful by everyone? At first sight without knowing that particular person is the most beautiful few or many may think they aren't that beautiful or beautiful at all. But if the people keep saying that "they are the most beautiful" over and over again that can mold your opinion and you'll call them beautiful. Same goes with people who are considered ugly. People influence people. There is no change to that.

I remember in high school I once told this girl she was so skinny, like soooo skinny, and I genuinely meant it as the best compliment because I loved her body and wished I looked like her. At the time I didn't think how it made her feel but I remember her just standing there with a shy smile and she didn't say thank you which I didn't understand because if someone told me I looked skinny I would of probably been the happiest I could of been... Her friends just stared at me and idk the whole situation makes me cringe when I think about it, we were all in drama class and I don't ever remember having another conversation with her but every now and then I think about the comment I made and how it probably made her feel... I would *never* make a comment about someone being overweight, so then I should never make a comment on someone being underweight either... Lesson learned
@kathrynjoy25515 жыл бұрын
Kirsy Vargas, yes i am skinny but a healthy skinny and i 5.8 so its weird. And when people say that it makes me think “should i get fatter or am i too skinny, do they think i dont eat?” So i get the girl you talked about.

My sister is skinny and very insecure. She is trying to gain weight. She is flat and she wants a butt and everything. She is 21 almost but she looks 10-12 years old because of her body and she doesn’t want people thinking she’s anorexic. She doesn’t look it to me but others who do not know her could think that. She hates when people mention her body. It’s one of her main insecurities. She eats a lot of snacks and fast food and she gains a pound a month. That’s how my older brother was. He’s still skinny but he would be made fun of by my other brothers. All bodies are beautiful.

You’d hear the craziest stories from people who just have heavy weight on them and probably don’t have anyone else to talk to. @@wellplague i somehow can relate to you , though i don't know if that's what people call 'insecurity' , i feel nervous whenever i go outside, it's like all people stare at me , and wherever i go , i am always judged, i don't have any friends i can rely on , I've never told anyone about my feelings , i can't trust anyone . I hate it so much when people stare at me , i get the fact that I'm a mixed race and that they aren't used to seeing me but i wish i can just be ignored , when i meet people they have 'big' expectation from me , but when they see anything they don't like in me , they criticise me , this is somehow started to hate every single person i see . But i changed because of many things that happened to me , like bts for example , because of them , i somehow changed , trying to understand that everything has a reason ,maybe those people who hate me are as stressed out as i am , that's why they don't accept me as one if them , because of differences . I don't really blame them , seeing the real side of our world . I still hate going outside, but i think ,growing up , I'll be able to overcome it , the reason why I'm telling this is : i saw your username, seems like you're also a fan of bts , don't worry , you are beautiful and you don't need to be depressed , just remember what bts tells us , to 'love ourselves' , people are different , you don't have to be like everyone, you should be yourself , because that's what beauty is about , having a good personality, a good way if seeing things , you should know that you're special.

My insecurity is about how many insecurity’s I have, I’m sure a lot of people have this.

That piano music in the background gets to me every video! I think that what you do is very important, today we live in such a lonely society, we don't tend to talk about our feelings and we deal with things on our own, sharing what's on your mind can really help understand and deal with things.

Being forgotten. I always try to stay in people‘s memories by being kind, cheerful, funny etc, but in the end i always assume i‘m not important enough in their lives to be remembered. I guess in the end, i feel like i‘m not valuable enough as a person. I‘m always surprised when people want to catch up after some time or i hear that people have been wondering about how i‘ve been doing. As a result, i get crushes very, very easily since i misinterpret common actions as a friend as more meaningful attention.

hi thoraya! i’ve been wanting to suggest these for a while so here are a few questions that i’ve been thinking about : who is a person that changed your life? what is something you admire ? (could be anything, person, nature, art) what do you like about yourself?
@meermeera7685 жыл бұрын
Great ideas 😍 and thoraya can u ask them to call one of their friends/parents to tell them 2 good things about them and 2 bad thing about them. Or something that they appreciate about them.

I just loved how she put contradictory statements together . Like one girl was saying she is short so people look down to her while next one was saying she was way too long. Also a guy was complaining about being fat while another one was saying he is too skinny.

So many insecurities.. My weight, my teeth, feeling like I am not beautiful in anyway, a stupid person, a person not worth noticing, a person not worth getting to know because I'm boring or too much to handle sometimes and my biggest insecurity, not worth being loved for all the above.. These are the demons I fight against everyday. I'm working on loving my self better and with more confidence.
