Just ordered a pair of these and can’t wait for them to get here. I have worn numerous pairs of Thorogood Moc-Toes and finally dropped the coin on the Wellingtons. I agree with your findings regarding the MAXWear Wedge, it is a very durable sole that still has enough “give” to provide great comfort.

I have the American heritage 11” crazy horse Wellington in steel toe. They have held up great just like my Irish setters and redwings do. I rotate out my boots as I wear them, let them dry out properly. I put my boots thru hell, as an equipment hauler. Even after getting diesel, hydro fluid, and such on my Thorogoods they just hold up. Haven’t resoled yet, take care of your boots they take care of you.

Break in was crucial for me with these ! So I removed the insole and man it made such a huge difference I’m in love with them now !

I removed the insoles in mine also. It made all the difference in comfort!

i have been wearing georgis boot wellingtons for the past few years. they are great, but the wedge sole wears down in the heel for me. i decided to try thorogoods and im just waiting for them to show up in the mail. none of the boot stores around carry their wellingtons for whatever reason. they have the moc toes, but i hate laces. i find wellingtons are wayyy easier to take on and off, and i have to go in and out of my house on my property all the time. im in construction and i love how moc toes look, but i just dont do the laces

I have the moc toe 6” lace ups in black soft toe and orange steel toe.i can’t feel the steel toe but you can for sure feel the weight difference

Yes you can. I had steel toe pull on boots awhile back they were heavy for sure.

I have these Thorogood Wellington, and I can feel the steel toe on my pinky toe towards the end of my work day only on my right boot. Should of ordered a wide though. But besides that super comfy work boot.

I wish I watched this before I got mine! My foot fits good but the throat where the top of vamp connect to tops is so wide! Makes my heel slip! I ordered some heel grips. Hopefully that fixes the problem, I love em!

I just bought the same pair except in steel toe Tim at safety guard said you won’t regret these because I usually buy Georgia suspension system similar looking boots but the quality isn’t the same I use to get 5 plus years out of them last couple pairs only lasted little over year but they are comfortable Tim said I’m gonna do you this if these boots tear up within a year I’m gonna give you your money back and I’m gonna give you a new pair of any other boots that cost the same or less that’s how much I trust thoruogood he said I’m not just trying up sell you the Georgia are about $200 and I got them for $234 but I like them so far I’m a automotive technician I wear threw a pair of boots

Love the boot but why use rubber welt? They should use a leather welt. Great Video.

Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. I'm pretty sure they use a plastic, or rubber welt to cut some cost. I've never had any issues with their welting system on any of my Thorogood boots as of yet.

Can’t find these anywhere in any store. With these pull on boots do you guys go down a size since it lace less? I normally wear size 11 for laced up Thorogood moc toe but thinking of ordering the Wellington 10 or 10.5?

They are the same size as the moc toes, I don't recommend going up in size , I tried that and they were way to loose and sloppy. The same size is a perfect fit.

Does anyone know if these are waterproof or if I can at least make them water repellent? I work 12 hours walking on concrete in wet conditions And thanks for this video I just ordered mine .

They are not waterproof. There are a lot of products that will help make them water resistant. Check out Bakers Shoe Boot Wax, you can't go wrong with this product. It works great for me.

I wanted to ask you between the pull on thorogood and the lace up thorogood what is better for work outside?

Wow, that's a tough one. It really depends on what your doing. If I had to pick one for all around use I woukd have to go with the wellington, however if your doing stuff like roof work or are in need of ankle support then the lace up is your best bet. Hope that helps.
