I love that backseat mod! I hope one day to get something like that setup in my H3. Also, perhaps a solid axle swap in it's future sometime soon. I'll see how my many IFS mods turn out. I have a good feeling that straight axleing it needs to happen in the next couple years.

All H3's are full-time 4WD. There is no signal to engage or dis-engage the transfer case...its on all the time. No mods required. More vids coming soon.

Did you have to mess with the electronics any to get the transfer case to work when you went to the solid axle? My understanding is that the front diff's in the GM trucks sends a signal to the BCM to allow or not allow the transfer case to work. What all did you have to do, or does it work normally w/o modification? BTW, badass H3! I had one a few years ago and miss it badly. Thinking of getting an Alpha now & going SAS. Please, post some more vids up with more info on the SAS & rear end!

Nice! I managed to grab a 5 speed manual. It's an 06. I wonder if they stopped making standards for the other years.

Nice find Mark. Manual trannies were offered in all years...06 thru 10 but, only with the 5-cylinder. They were made in both Adv. Pak and Lux Pak models but I'm not sure if the H3X could be equipped with a stick shift or not (I've never seen a manual H3X). Alphas (V8) were only made with automatics.

$7000 USD. It could be done for less or more, depending on how fancy you get with the axle. The axle in the video is a GM low-pinion with stock 3/4-ton shafts...relatively low-budget. I have a new axle ready to go in that is a custom high-pinion (see my other videos) with Yukon cro-mo shafts and super joints...a tad more money in that one.

Do you sell all the brackets, mounts, etc. as a kit, or is it all one-off custom stuff? I'd be sticking with 35's, which I assume would make the SAS a little less expensive?

Its not for the faint of heart....lots of cutting, grinding, welding, and fabrication. Its not a bolt-on! But, I can answer any questions you have about it. It makes the H3 what it should have been from the start...a tad more "Jeepy" without loosing all the creature comforts of the Hummer.
