I was one of the first visitors to Thorpe Park, before it became an amusement park. It was an information centre and water sports park and I went on a school trip there back in the very early 80's. It used to be a quarry I think.

I've stayed in the thorpe park shark cabins a couple of times, i really like it. It is very cramped but for two people it works well and does the job. The bonus of the included free parking, breakfast and fast track for the second day is worth it in my opinion. Its interesting seeing how things have changed with covid in terms of the infinity bar. It used to be buffet style where you could go up and get what/however much you wanted. I definitely do recommend if you don't fancy travelling out of the park if you're visiting for two days.

I stayed here on a special event a few years ago. There wasn’t many people at the park at night but they left all the rides open so no queueing. They let us do multiple laps of nemesis inferno without getting off.

We stayed in a cabin a couple of years back and enjoyed it. Three of us: 2 adults, 1 child. Thought it was fun for the night but wouldn’t want to stay any longer. It was still Fins then and, even with the buffet in operation, the food wasn’t great. We got a decent deal and I’m glad we tried it.

Hey! I'm new here but my mates a fan and he's sure he saw you - we were staying over Thursday/Friday. We were in 142 - just a few doors down! I've heard some people complaining about the cabins and whilst they ain't great - they are pretty good value. Plus if you're like me, a teenager travelling across the country on public transport just to get to Thorpe park - they're a life saver!

I stayed there in early May. I thought they were OK, nothing special and small, but they did the job and the bed was very comfy. 😀 When I go to Alton Towers I always stay in Leek. 👍

Nice little tour and review of the cabins and breakfast. Never been to Thorpe Park and after watching various vlogs and reinforcesits noton my "to visit list" generally park atmosphere and theme looks a bit dark and lacking facilities coupled with poor service and an isolated location and intense ride offering. Chessington hands down. 👐Thanks for tour guys👍👍

I am booked into Drayton Manor hotel next week and that is £63 for the night and then go onto BLVD hotel at Blackpool Pleasure Beach and booked the same suite that over looks the park that you guys stayed in and that is £140 the night. I live in Chertsey so probably won’t be booking the shark cabins but they do look interesting. Think I might book The Smiler room at Alton Towers this year for Scarefest

Shaun, bit of a question about the wifi there but if staying over night, would you need the wifi access? I know that the holiday park, Devon Cliffs (Sandy Bay), you would need a password to get access to the wifi even though it's not the best.
