Many scholars today have come to find that John 10:10, doesn't specifically refer to Satan, but within the context is referring to the ungodly leaders who have not enerted thru the door, which is Jesus Christ. See John 10:7, "I am the door of the sheep". Verse 8, "All who have come before me are thieves and robbers" Christ called them hired hands in verse 12 and do not own the sheep and will abandon the sheep when the wolf comes. Its not Satan, but ungodly and corrupt false leaders who have entered the sheep fold. Shalom

The “blasphemy” against the HS, the unforgivable sin, is: *UNFORGIVENESS* (Matthew 6:15)
@ibelieveitcauseiseentit96306 ай бұрын
No it's not. If you will not forgive those who have sinned against you your heavenly father will not forgive you IN THIS AGE. In this life. But Jesus said the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven neither in this age nor the one to come. The blasphemy of the holy spirit is not the same as not forgetting other people. Ultimately the blasphemy of the holy spirit means you rejected the gospel and remain an unbeliever to the end.
@christianuniversalist6 ай бұрын
“”Ultimately the blasphemy of the holy spirit means you rejected the gospel and remain an unbeliever to the end.”” Nowhere does it say that in Scripture. Christ mission was one of pure grace; forgiveness. Speaking against the HS is refusing to forgive as we have been forgiven. One cannot enter the kingdom with unforgiveness because the Kingdom is pure forgiveness. Jesus was quite clear about this. Once one forgives then we see that the Father has forgiven us.
@ibelieveitcauseiseentit96306 ай бұрын
@@christianuniversalist actually that's what the entirety of scripture teaches. The entirety of scripture teaches that we are saved by grace through faith. So... The only thing that can keep you from being unsaved is not having faith in the gospel. That's exactly what the Pharisees were doing when Jesus warned them about the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. He had showed them every possible proof that he was the Messiah, and yet they still rejected him even as he was performing miracles by the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy spirits function according to the New testament is to testify of the truth and convince people of the truth. That's why the holy spirit is called the spirit of Truth. If people reject the truth to the end, then they reject the only thing that can save them.

So its unforgivable, but its totally forgivable if you do the thing that you have to be a christian... Im not sure you know what unforgivable means. Seems like youre just twisting the religion to make yourself feel better.
@JDGoding6 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment. What is unforgivable in this passage is not accepting the free gift of the gospel. Once the gospel is received, the agent of salvation is accessed and all sin is wiped away. That agent is Jesus Christ. If there was anything unclear in the video, I truly apologies. But I appreciate your comment and will try to explain things better in the future.
@Agent_Lokii6 ай бұрын
@@JDGoding Your response doesn't make sense either. If something is unforgivable, it is unable to be forgiven in ANY circumstance by definition. You say that that "not accepting the free gift of the gospel is unforgivable", but it's forgiven once you accept jesus... This means it is forgivable. Either it's not forgivable or it is.
@speculativebubble57136 ай бұрын
@@JDGoding Sorry to chime in, but... I don't think you're explaining anything, either in the video or in your response to the comment. When we explain something, we need to refer to things that have already been established. What you're essentially saying is "god did X because the bible says so", which is not an explanation of anything, it's just your statement of belief. It's fine, you can believe what you wish to, but let's not say that you explained anything. You simply asserted your belief by referring to the book you believe to be true. It's an assertion, not an explanation.

@@speculativebubble5713 You are right. If you reject the bible as true and authoritative, then you will not accept any answer using Scripture. But to even unpack the question "what is blaspheming the Holy Spirit?", you have to start from a place of believing it is possible because Scripture talks about it. Which makes me curious as to why you watched the video in the first place if you reject the Scripture which prompts the question?
@garrettspeck83405 ай бұрын
@@Agent_Lokii Forgiveness on a specific issue implies a specific wrong has been done (otherwise there is nothing to forgive). In this case the specific wrong would be never accepting the gospel. That is a specific wrong that is unforgivable. If one were to accept the gospel, then they have not committed this specific wrong and are able to be forgiven for all the other wrongs they have committed in their life. There is a difference between never accepting the gospel and one day accepting it. There is no logical fallacy in what this video describes.
@Frankie5Angels1506 ай бұрын
Couple of things you got wrong. Divorce attorneys would never ascribe to “a house divided against itself…” because that is their sole business - dividing houses - LITERALLY. Second: Heaven WAS a house divided against itself and DID have a civil war, until Lucifer and his fallen angels were cast down. But heaven did survive. The rest is kind of mediocre, self-ordained stuff.

It's a deep hearted defaming, blasphemy, against the Holy Spirit, God. When the Pharisees in Matt. 12 attributed Jesus's works to the Devil that was just a manifestation of their already committed Unforgivable Sin. Jesus said to the Pharisees in John 8:44, "You are of your father the Devil and want to do the desires of your father." If Jesus said they were of their father, the devil, that makes them children of the Devil, and that is the Unforgivable Sin, making the Devil their god and sufficiency. See also Act 13:9-10, Elymas the sorcerer was also a child of the Devil. In the OT, see references to "sons of Belial," translated "worthless men" in many versions, but Belial is another name for Satan. Cain was also a child of the Devil, Gen 4:8-15 and 1John 3:12. As were sons of Eli in 1Sam 2:12. There is no going back when one becomes a child of Satan, its unforgivable, and similar to the new berth in Christ, once a child always a child.

Blasphemy of the Spirit is to sin once you have been baptised with Spirit, as Hebrew 6:1-6, once past sins are forgiven at baptism sin is to reject thr covenant, as Hebrews 10:38-39. Otherwise I it was a informative video. I have a Ytube video series 'Myths in so-called Christianity' for NT truth

When Jesus was setting free a possessed man, the Pharohsee said He was doing it by the power of demons. To say the holy Spirit is using demons to work, is blaspheme against the spirit. They said Jesus blaspheme when he said he can forgive sin, and when he said he and God are one. The Pope claims to be the Vicar of Christ=Christ replacement When Jesus clearly left us the holy Spirit.

@@fredricos9468 I believe when Jesus said in Matthew 12:32 "whosoever" he was speaking to the Pharisees as believers, as only believers can receive and offend the Spirit as Hebrews 6:1-6. Only those in the church and covenant as believers can be judged, only those baptised with the Spirit are under God's laws, as Jesus alone is the Judge of believers as unbelievers just perish.
@Agent_Lokii6 ай бұрын
@@simonskinner1450so revelation 21:8 and john 3:36 discussing the punishment for non belief being eternal lake of fire and Gods wrath.... That's just perishing without punishment? I appreciate that your view is kinder to unbelievers like me, but its just inconsistent with the scripture. But hey maybe the Bible changes with the times by adapting the beliefs of man so that it can stay relevant? 🤷
@simonskinner14506 ай бұрын
@@Agent_Lokii Easy to answer but then I am the only one with the answers of the NT. The wrath of God is death without hope of eternal life. Revelation is written as most letters to those baptised, not a general epistle like 1 John, so the second death can only be for those in the church. Revelation 21:8 is in response to 21:7, who are believers that overcome temptation, as opposed to the fearful and sinning who are judged by God's laws, which is for the covenant only. So the second death is for backsliders. Because Christianity does not have the truth of the NT, I have a Ytube video series 'Myths in so-called Christianity' to expose false teaching.

First I want to thank you for you comment, I really appreciate it. Blaspheme of the Spirit is the act of never accepting the gospel. Once someone accepts the gospel they have the Spirit inside them. The Spirit will then continually fill the new believer as they progress in their new life in Christ as the first several chapters of Acts reveals to us.
