Love your shopping vlogs! ❤ … I decided to “go vegan” in March of 2020 & haven’t looked back! .. your vlogs helped me so much when I first started out back then! I still love watching them now ❤️ You’re both totally relatable & down to earth which I love! I’m a northern vegan gal & love pies, potatoes & “meat” alternatives! … I’m all about anything that can be served with gravy!! I feel like a lot of veganuary things are called “new!” In most stores but end up being “limited edition” in my eyes! Like you say, after January it’s really anyone’s guess what will stay on the shelves in the supermarkets! Thank you both for continuing to do these vlogs! ❤

I did ask at the checkout why the croissants and pain a chocolate are only available during veganuary? The response was probably because they are made in France so it's not cost effective long term . He then said have you seen the vegan chocolate to which I replied you don't have the one I like anymore. He said perhaps one of the bigger stores have it. I said No you discontinued it :( They so need to bring back the vegan blonde chocolate

I stocked up today on the cheese options, they had decent dates and they'll disappear next month. Does anyone else really miss that amazing Moser Roth Vegan Blonde chocolate that Aldi have discontinued? It was incredible 😢. My Aldi looked to have Vegan Racer ice-cream bars as well as the Titan ones. I've been defrosting my freezer today so I couldn't indulge. I really hope they are still available next week. Those pizzas look great too. Thanks for all the fabulous videos. I love your shopping vlogs in particular and like others have said you were very helpful when I switched from veggie to vegan. 46 years meat-free! 🎉X

Luckily I have a large Tesco, Aldi and Home Bargains 10 minutes away so that's where I'm heading next week to do my big shop. I get my soya milk from Aldi - the Everyday Essentials unsweetened soya milk only has water, soya beans (8%)and salt and nothing else added and is only 50p. The sweetened version has added sugar. The oat milk is also really nice but had to give it up for health reasons.

I always make my own onion gravy, chop and fry an onion in plenty of oil, add salt, mixed herbs and stir in flour. Then add water and when it thickens add marmite, nothing better.

The acti leaf soy milk has now added iodine, so dont get caught out. Its our go to milk, also the tofu smoked chilli tofu is lovely in noodle stirfry. Nice kick but not too over powering.

I'm so glad you mentioned Aldi's in other countries. I live Upstate NY and our Aldi went down to tofu, maybe??? I've been vegan for 9 or 10 years now and I dream of spendind at least a month in the UK, my original destination when I left Brazil in May 1987. I've been al over Europe but not England. I would love it if you ever went to America and went to one of the Whole Foods!!! They are so much better than the ones in London. I went to one in Orlando and they had so many vegan goodies including freshly baked muffins and cookies, ❤ they had a wood fired pizza oven where you could get pizza all day and they also had full sized birthday cakes on the cake counter, i was in heaven ❤

I can vouch for the Nordpak spread for £1.99,I would say imo better than the Lurpak and Flora Butter and worth the extra few pennies more than Flora and utterly buttery spreads.Thanks guys

I just did my first Aldi visit of the month. The meat-free freezer cabinets were completely empty... Sold out? Defrosting? Nope, mechanical failure and awaiting repair. They had to chuck all the food... they should've let me know!

I used to go in with a friend who was a shopping buddy but novelty wore off comin to help pretty quickly ..tried it afew times on my own n prefer the open fridges n freezers..the doors are just too much to cope with..n tryin to find someone to help is exhausting in itself.really want those icecream tubs n the titan bars..i might nip out n try one aldi..my big chair is really hard work with the doors n my little one is even lower down so no easy solution for me🙈i took a entire clothing rail with me in primark down the shop ..hooked on the back of my seat ..lady who worked there was howling 🤣🤣 said did u want all these ..

Although there is a huge range of ready meals at affordable prices in all our supermarkets. Vegans are still being overcharged for comparative non vegan versions. Kilo for kilo, it can be twice the price. I don’t know what the average is. But we are definitely being charged extra for no good reason at all. For instance: Sainsbury’s four steak pies 38p/100g; McCartney pies (2 in a pack) 74p/100g. Sainsbury’s Chicken kievs (Stamford Street) 46p/100g; Plant Pioneer kievs 71p/100g For most people who go vegan doing it for the animals and planet, that extra cost is just something we have to accept, it seems.

@@ThoseVeganGuys I was just comparing like for like. It bugs me when people fall for the pricing tricks. Always check the price by weight. The difference between fresh, chilled and frozen is often worth checking, too. Frozen is always cheapest.

I am from South wales we go to the aldi here and get vegan items due to my fiance being lactose intolerant having dairy and red meat meat allergy and egg allergy. She loves the acti leaf oat she said its taste awesome totally recommend the acti leaf milk and also recommend to anyone if you're lactose intolerant she recommend the lactose free milk they have in aldi totally recommend them too

I think a lot of the time the refrain from labelling something as vegan as they can't quite guarantee that the ingredients are completely vegan, so it's normally out of caution and not wanting to lie, rather than others being put off by a vegan label.

Sometimes labels are confusing and just not clear. I love rice. I was curious why the Mexican rice (early in the vlog), and especially the whole grain rice, are not vegan. According to the Aldi website they are suitable for vegans and vegetarians, yet the photo clearly shows “vegetarian” on the front but the ingredients look vegan. Of course I would not buy either of those items, but just pointing out that sometimes labels are confusing.
