I’ve never been to the coliseum. I grew up in Indiana and illinois. I became an A’s fan in 1986. To the fans of Oakland I feel your pain. I never had the opportunity or money to be there. But I love the A’s and will support the team going forward. But it will never be the same.

I'm 32 and I don't think I've ever been more disenchanted by baseball than I am now. I'm a Giants fan but have always rooted for the A's, and have always been interested in baseball even in years where both teams are out of it. This year I just don't care. I don't know who's playing meaningful games, I don't know when the playoffs start or who'll be in it, I just can't be bothered to give a s***. Maybe that'll change by next season but I don't know that it will. I think I'm done caring about baseball until it feels like it cares about its fans.

It’s truly appalling how many people have to lose for one man to “win”… I think about the fathers who grew up supporting this team with their fathers, who won’t be able to carry on the legacy with their kids. This is a terrible day for baseball and especially the Oakland faithful… 🙏

Brodie Brazil is the only one willing to say what's going on here. Watching the postgame and from Kotsay to Braden and everyone else acting like there's a reason this is happening. Braden's too much of a coward to ask "why" on the air. Brodie wasn't.

I really hope Oakland gets an MLB team back or another professional sports team. The fans are not to blame, they're struggling to pay their own bills. Someone with deep pockets is going to be needed to bring back a team to Oakland.
@therealMolochkoАй бұрын
Fisher's pockets are plenty deep. He just doesn't give a shit. He's an embarrassment and so are the other 29 billionaires who voted for this scam relocation.
@rapalbumdepot7648Ай бұрын
❌ Temporary ballpark issues- like clubhouse plumbing- should NOT be a cause for franchise relocation and this whole thing is being massively mishandled. This isn't the middle bleepin ages, people. And as far as I'm concerned MLB Inc. MUST be ABLE to force one of the west Coast teams to host the Athletics- whether that is Giants or Padres or Mariners or Dodgers or Angels. This REALLY should be a non-issue and for example back in the 60s/seventies during ballpark renovations you saw the Angels play at Dodger Stadium, while the Yankees played at Shea Stadium.

As someone in the Uk I have an observation. MLB are now abandoning Oakland. From a purely business perspective the lack of professional sport in a market where fans want to see it is a bad move. The USA is heading towards a world cup. Soccer, what I call football, seems to be on the rise in the USA. Oakland must surely be a place where fans, particularly young fans, could be attracted to a global sport like soccer. I know the Oakland Roots exist. Maybe it's time to kick baseball and NFL into the long grass and be soccer area. Just my thoughts.

Personally I am glad the city didn’t cave to absurd demand by wealthy owners. If they can buy a team they can build their own darn place to play Giants paid their own building so did the Warriors and 49ers for the most part. So can he. Sorry to see them go glad the taxpayer didn’t just stuck with the bill. BY the way who is still paying for mount Davis. Oh yeah the tax payers are.
