Christine, I've been here since 2014 and I'm just so proud that you've finally released this book!! It means so much to me that you tried to represent a part of the college experience that never gets talked about. I just finished my freshman year and it was so much harder than I ever would have imagined. I spent night after night feeling so isolated and unwanted, and I was completely convinced that the rest of my life was going to be just as miserable. "Again, But Better" is the first book I've read that made me feel okay for not having my life together at eighteen, and I'm so so grateful that it exists. Shane's story made me so hopeful for my future and I can't thank you enough for that. ❤❤❤

Aaa, I actually just bought a signed copy of Again But Better last night, I had never seen your channel but it was in the very front of the bookstore that I walked into. and I’m so obsessed with it that I’m already halfway done, and it’s now my favorite book I’ve ever read. I have literally forced myself to not laugh out loud in the middle of class when (Insert two names here that I don’t wanna spoil but it includes the main character and the cute dude) are talking to each other, and then I just spent a few hours of reading it. You’ve inspired me to start writing my book that I started a while ago. You are amazing!

CHRISTINE. YOU MADE ME CRY. I am so, so proud of you. When I first thought that, I thought that it was weird to be proud of someone that you don't know, but then you said yourself in the video that we DO know you. I've been watching you for around six years or so now and it's been incredible to watch you make this journey. I haven't had a chance yet to read Again, but Better because I'm still patiently waiting for it to arrive in the mail (I ordered one of the special editions from Barnes and Noble and I live in the Middle of Nowhere Canada so it's taking a minute to get here) but I'm so excited to receive it. Congratulations New York Times bestselling author Christine, YOU DID THE DAMN THING.

Christine, you have no idea how much this series has meant to me. I’ve been writing for 10 years and a secret life goal of mine is to get one of my stories published. At one point in my life I was so down and I just knew that would be a goal that I would never accomplish. Then I found one of your writing episode and they breathed hope into me. Now at 21, I’m currently writing my second story and I just want to thank you so much for these videos and the inspiration you’ve given me. You’re such an incredible person and I can’t wait to read this book that you’ve poured your soul into.

I will never not be proud of what you’ve accomplished Christine! You are a KZbinr I have followed for years, since the beginning, and you lift my spirits everyday. Your spirit is so infectious that my sister- who doesn’t even read books- loves watching your videos with me (especially your crackpot theories) I remember watching the first of your writing videos and being so excited, and these videos have been such an inspiration and nudge in the right direction for me to continue my own writing. I was in a horrible position when these videos first started, and they’ve been the push I needed to get back to doing what i love. It’s amazing seeing how far you’ve come

When I started reading your book, I realized quickly how brave you are, because you're right - we do know you! I found little pieces of you in your writing from the beginning that I wouldn't have been able to find if I hadn't been watching your videos for years. So I think it's incredible that you are able to be yourself and be so open and share your writing with the world (the most intimate and personal thing!!) after you've already shared yourself. You are an inspiration.

Christine, I've been watching every writing video since you started making them back in 2016! It's been so amazing to watch you go through this process and I was so excited when this book that I've been waiting to read for three years showed up at my door on the release day. I just finished the last half of this book in the past few hours because I just had to know what happened. To my surprise, I found myself tearing up reading the acknowledgments because I couldn't believe it was all over. It made me feel things that I've never experienced with a book before. I always have a hard time relating to main characters and I find myself eye rolling all the time, but with her I could feel myself in her shoes. My freshman year of college was really hard for me. I moved to a different state for school and I had such a hard time making new friends. I felt very isolated while I watched the people around me move forward and get the "college experience". Reading this was comforting to know that maybe my experience wasn't that abnormal and it wasn't just me. I know your goal for this book was to make people feel that and I just wanted you to know you accomplished it. Thank you for allowing us to be apart of this and I can't wait to read everything you write in the future.

I'm never the type to comment on videos, but I purchased your book today and literally could not put it down. I've just finished it at 2 am my time and I'm so proud of you as a reader and a viewer of your videos for so many years. Thank you for making such a special story. It spoke to me seeing as I just came home a few months ago from my study abroad experience in London (technically Canterbury, England, but close enough) and I really related to a lot of Shane's anxiety driven moments while being far from home. Never stop being you, Christine! Anxiously awaiting your next novel!!

Ahhh, I've been watching your videos since 2012 when I was 17 and I thought you were so cool (you are). Then when I was 19-21 I was in the same position as your main character and felt like shit about myself and so alone. I also tried to fix my life and do uni "better" by studying in France for a semester. At the time I felt so alone and different, and I never would have thought someone who I looked up to on the internet like you could have been through what I was going through. The intro to your book almost made me cry because it was that relatable. There's this huge discourse about your early 20s being the best time of your life that can make you feel so alone and "wrong" when your experience doesn't match that. It's important to share experiences that are different so people don't feel so isolated and weird. Thank you so much for writing this book. I know 20-year-old me would have found it therapeutic. 💛💛💛💛

Hey Christine! I finally just listened to the audio book version of Again But Better, and I know you get thousands of comments, but I wanted you to know how awesome it was to read your book finally. I've been watching your videos since near the beginning and I always wondered if you would write someday. I loved that the book was so you, so familiar to the channel, and yet Shane was very much her own person on her own journey. It felt a lot like a love letter with you filling it with all the things you loved so that we could love and enjoy them too. Your acknowledgements really made me want to comment here because yes... The book made me smile. I've been going through a tough time emotionally with lots of interpersonal conflict, and being able to turn this on twenty minutes on my lunch break, driving home from work, or grocery shopping, was immensely helpful. Like 2017 Shane I'm on the other side of my life nerves and just generally feel more calm and capable about going after my dreams. I loved seeing her transformation because I definitely related to it! Anyway, I wanted to say thank you. Thank you for pouring your heart and soul into this and giving it to all of us. I'm so excited to see where you go from here ❤️ -Mandy

So happy you made it with completing the process and you deserve the praise and overwhelming satisfaction! I was just in Barnes and Noble today trying to find “Again, but Better” but I don’t think my one doesn’t have it yet. I’ve been following your channel for a bit and I love the content you make thus far. I’m an aspiring author myself, and I have an interesting setting and set of characters in mind I’ve been wanting to write for a year. Now, I’ve got plenty of time to do so. I want to do something complex and philosophical in its expression, but emotional and awesome at the same time. It feels cathartic watching another person succeed in putting out the story they want to tell because it gives me hope that I can strive for that success. I find small writing tips everyday and make myself a better writer as a whole. It’s not an easy ballpark, but I’m very serious about the work and execution. Stephen King taught me so much with his Dark Tower series that I feel capable in the writing lessons I’ve learned. If I finally do get to where you are, I hope you consider my novel someday Christine:). Stay joyful and passionate! Btw, definitely consider reading King’s 7 novel Dark Tower series. Amazingly well written saga. Also, did you hear about Rebel, Marie Lu’s 4th legend book?

I feel like I went on this journey with you, and now that i’ve read the book, I just want to say thank you for writing it! I’m twenty years old and felt the themes of this book on a personal level- i felt like someone finally understood what i’m going through. i’m also studying abroad next year in England to get a bit out of my comfort zone, and i’m looking forward to exploring all the places that Shane experienced in the book. congratulations on this awesome accomplishment! wishing you luck on your next book.

I’ve watched you since I was 13 just coming out of middle school and I am now 18 and in my first year of college. This book has come out at a perfect time as I’ve been feeling exactly the ways you described, and I’ve had such a fun time watching you grow. I’m so excited for you!

I cried watching this video. I'm so glad you're aware of what an influence this book can have on it's readers, I devoured it and enjoyed its contents endlessly. Now I'm listening to the playlist and just thinking about the book and it's making me just as (if not more) emotional than when I was actually reading it. Thank you for sharing yourself with the world, I love you!

thank you. thank you so much for writing this book. I haven't yet finished it but I can tell I'm gonna fall in love with it. I've never given that much thought to Author's Note but when I read yours, i felt like it was written for me. for once in my life I didn't feel alone and knew there are people who go/ have gone through the same things or rather, lack of things. you're right, I really, really wanted to hear this and looking at what you've gone through and how you have this amazing life now just gives me hope that I'm gonna get there too one day. so thank you. can't wait to read the complete book❤️

Christine, I'm currently a very lost college student and can assure you I felt what you did at the same age. It sucks to feel so lost and behind but look at you now! I'm so proud of you and I can't wait to eventually write my own book. You make it seem so possible!
