Glad to see another CVMA brother making information videos, Hello from 28-7. I have been looking to pull the triggers on a 2024/25 RG, but not sure of the new M8 with dual plugs per cylinder due to info/talk from other riders at rallies, who say get a later twin cam or earlier M8.

Great video brother, I really like the new bike. I also had issues with my apple carplay on mine. It’s been at the HD dealer for 1 week. But it’s still a great improvement from the last models.

There was an update that came out in May that fixed a big issue they were having where the radio muted and you couldn’t get it to play without pulling the fuse. I am pretty sure the issue I talked about in this video is with Cardo.

I hear this a lot and just saw it in this video too. The mentality that "it is a stock item, it is what it is" ... No... I do not agree with that. I just paid 30k for a frkin motorcycle, put a fkin decent seat on... like any other non Harley manufacturer. speakers that I can hear... I've met some wonderful people who owns 23+ CVOs and they complain about the seat too. I mean just look at it, it is paper thin. I mean wtf... so what if it is stock? If I buy a new car, and the seat is messed up, I am taking that back. It is not gonna be, it is what it is... and btw, my truck was 24k USD when I bought it, adjusting for the inflation, it is the same price as a two wheel mass produced Harley motorcycle... wtf Harley

I am a long time HD supporter and will always own one but I agree with you. Part of me wonders if they don’t bother putting the time into developing better accessories like seats, speakers, and such due to the large aftermarket. But who knows what goes through the minds of the engineers at HD. Ride safe brother.

Even the new Indians and Goldwings were able to keep analog gauges. I would hate having the speedometer change and move and even losing the tach. Buying a premium touring bike with a lousy seat is ridiculous. Like buying an offroad truck with street tires. Compared to older models you get a worse seat (especially passenger), no saddlebag bars, no front fender lights or script, one key fob instead of two, no tour pack, no passenger foot boards, no driving lights (Street Glide), one side adjustable shocks, all for a lot more money.
@2WheelVet5 ай бұрын
I agree with you about the seat but I think part of it is they have a lot of options for better seat to purchase from the dealer hoping that most buyers will spend a little more money. Saddlebag bars are not really needed. I lay my work motor down frequently in training and the bag guards rarely take any damage unless it goes all the way over, so really the only reason to have them is for looks. If you lay the bike down far and hard enough to get it in its bags, you may have other issues. I agree there should be a second key fob. My 2014 ultra came with two. A lot of time I see the touring bike running solo so why spend the money throwing footboards on a bike when a good chunk of the buyers don’t need them and don’t want that extra cost, same reason for the tour pack I would imagine. I don’t think street glides ever had drive lights. The Electraglides did.
@Yeetsforthestreets4 ай бұрын
My cons list. 1. the stock speakers/amp are unusable garbage (I'm still waiting on the cut kit for my bags but the volunteer-audio A2B setup for the front is incredible so far.) 2. I agree that the stock bars are pretty nice but those rubber bushings are horrible if you like to ride a bit more aggressively like myself. The motor is so smooth that they should have at least done polyurethane bushings. (I'm now running Thrashin Supply pullback risers with solid bushing and the handling (especially at speed) is night and day). 3. The stock windshield looks super good on the bike but does basically nothing for wind deflection. (I'm currently running a klockwerks now) 4. Another big con is the speed limiter. It's pretty lame to hit the wall at 112MPH which I can do if I stretch out in 4th gear it just neuters the motor and I'll probably go aftermarket tune at some-point to delete this. Pros for me. 1. I think the bike is beautiful and personally dig the new style and screen. 2. so far I like the seat but I haven't done a run over 300 Miles yet, we'll see how some upcoming trips go. 3. Handlebar wiring re-design, it's super easy to run new bars or heated grips yourself, (I wish my softail had been this easy to do) very owner friendly and no de-pinning needed. 4. Being in a hot climate the liquid cooled heads is huge, this bike runs cool and has pretty great power stock! (The aftermarket is doing good numbers with just pipes and cams.)
