Thats actually a good point. Would rather have a plant that lets you know what it needs than one that pretends to be fine until its too late

Peace Lilies are the most dramatic house plant. They literally fall out at the possibility of watering every 8 days rather than every 7 days. 😩😂

I haven't tested this theory, but I kinda doubt that they do need a pot😂 The only thing that will kill a snake plant is too much attention. The more neglected, the better.

I killed 2 snake plants so far First I neglect them and then it seems like once I start giving them attention they die possibly by overwatering I don’t know they get ignored until the leaves start to weather than I water them and they’re dead

Snake plants don't need much water, but they do need a bit every now and then. If you give it too much too often, it will die.

@@thatswhatisaid8908 I started noticing the tips were getting brown, and I thought it was from under watering so then I watered it and then it started getting mushy at the bottom, even though I had good draining soil, but it started getting mushy at the bottoms until all of it got mushy and it just died

I really like Peace Lillies, but you have to be careful with them around dogs & cats. The lillies taste salty and they're toxic! That cost me one expensive vet bill and a lot of worried tears. I'm really glad my lil Peaches made it. ❤❤❤

I had one for 6 years. It grew so big that I had to chop it 😬 after cutting like 40% off it grew again in like 2-3 Months so much. Its a really beautiful forgiving plant. It’s also good for new plant parents

That is, unless you have it in a regular pot.. then you find it drastically wilted and dying every week lol.. I really need to get a self watering pot. Thanks for the advice:)

For me it's always been aloe. Water every week to two weeks when you remember that it exists. Repot every 6 months to 2 years. Really just whenever it looks too crowded.

Even easier are Epipremnums. People also call them Pothos or Money Vine. You can get 2 species pretty easily: Ep. Pinnatum Cebu Blue and Epipremnum Aureum (which has many variations that are still genetically the same plant: Golden, Marble queen, N'Joy, Neon, etc). These plants will wilt when they need water. They can also bounce back fast if you overwater or underwater. They're resistent to pests. They propagate very easily and can live in any kind of soil conditions, or even in water, indefinitely. They do well in any kind of light, as long as there is a wintow in the room. They don't care about humidity at all. Whatever you have, it will adapt to that. My mom has been growing one in a dark bedroom on a shelf in garden soil which happened to contain clay. It didn't skip a beat. Now it's above the fridge in the kitchen and got one leaf burned by the hot air of the toaster. Half the leaf crunched up, but the other half is still there two months later 😂. It's not safe for pets to eat, but usually it tastes bad so they won't eat that much. A few nibbles will result in throwing up and that's all.

I find Dieffenbachia to be easy too. Lower leaves become droopy and soft if it needs water. 15 minutes after watering they're like new.😂

@@abyssussempervivum8629 yes, true. From my experience though, it doesn't have good immunity though. Once it catches a pest, it's very hard to get rid of it.

@@dianal3827 I've bought one a month ago, and just now, after a month, aphids appeared out of nowhere on it. Only my Dieffenbachia has them, the other plants are just fine. They just keep coming!🤣😭🤣

@@abyssussempervivum8629 in a spray bottle mix 1 part alcohol with 2 parts water and a drop or two of dish soap. It will slowly kill most pests.

I have a peace lily that I have had for 5 years which is a record for me. I am usually horrible with plants but this thing is absolutely thriving. I've grown really attached to it. And yes, you are spot on with the dramatic wilting. But she always pops right back up after the few times I've forgotten to water her.

They also let you know when they’ve had too much light! The blooms will turn green if they’re getting too much sunlight

This is why I love fittonia also. I of course try not to let them get to the wilting stage but if I do forget they let me know loud & clear it’s time for water.

This plant stressed me out for two entire years!! I'm now down to just a few very small propagations from the boil beautiful plant that I started with. It never seemed happy unless I was giving it a half gallon of water every week, it hated the sunlight, I tried removing the soil and just growing in water but that had to be changed every two days or shed rot. I now need therapy.

My ✌🏼☮️ Lily stresses me out the most. Maybe it’s needing a bigger pot but it’s been so hard to make it happy.. trying to find the right light right water amount leaves looking depressed and droppy. Put it next to west facing window give it filtered water and it’s doing a little better. Hoping to repot it soon.

They are good for those who don’t know a green thumb, but I can’t feel anything but that they are funeral flowers. Every time a family member dies you get several of those plants.

Please do a short on plants that are toxic to pets. There’s so many KZbinrs showing Plant care, and I’ve not seen one address this issue. So many plants are recommended that are not safe around pets.

Lol, my family has had a large peace lily since 2007 and it's still healthy. The only reason we know the year is because we were given it after my aunt and uncle's funeral.

I disagree that they’re easy plants and for beginners. They are super dramatic and need specific requirements to even consider happiness as a possibility. Mine has been most happy in a brighter spot with a lot more light. The blooms for me completely stall out if it isn’t in a brightly lit area of the home. They also need humidity even though tons of people argue they don’t. Mind sure perked up and started growing a lot more when I supplemented in more humidity. These plants are learning curves for sure… 😅

Well, for my house the peace lilies have tantrums. Pothos and dracena maginata are the easy ones for me. I love my peace Lilly but man is beauty painful.

If you have a Southern window then nothing is easier than a mammillaria cactus. Water it once a month and that’s it.

Even if you don't kill them. I find that you need to do very well to get them to flower. Seeing them wilt once is like them saying "well, maybe in 6 months you'll get a bloom"
