I always wanted to see an anime of this. With the material they have from the game, the anime could be done for a while and build up characters better "if"done right. Although I can think of a few I would love to see an anime done. In one case (Star Ocean) The anime redone and finished.

I needed this. I lost my mom in 2016 and she loved watching me play this game. She even tried helping with the dates. I was 13 or 14. My best friend passed recently and he's the reason I played and beat this game. He pushed me to play it when I didn't understand. I think I finally let my emotions out about this. Both people that gave me memories of this game are gone, but I still have them now.

hehehe, it was such a chore back then but it also made these things feel like little treasure. I remember doing tons of save points on Final Fantasy 7 to rewatch the CGI cutscenes. One day I learned how to plug a console to my VHS recorder and it was so nice to be able to game stuff that way. I also did a lot of "OST" by putting my casette player near the TV to record the musics, I had to be super quiet lmao.

They should definitely try to remake this game. Perhaps the first JRPG that had a "Social Link" mechanic. Loved this one back in the days, sadly it's not a popular title.

the biggest problems was that, the first impression of the MC is probably one of the worst possible, of course, thats the point of the series, it doesnt help that the combat also doesnt make many people want to invest time in learning it.

Yea the first impression of the MC is awful, but thats what made it stand out to little me when i played it. Though I can say without doubt that the combat in this game could definitely use a overhaul if it ever gets a remake.

My childhood. I played it as part of a bulk purchase my parents made. Fell in love with the animation and art style. Thought the characters were so cool as an 8yr old boy. Didn’t realize the dating sim mechanic lol. Too bad I lost the game before I could play it again.

I found it on a discounted game rack at a Video Experience, got it, and it was sincerely one of the best/most fun games I've ever played with an amazing and gripping story. The dating aspect was countless hours of laughs.

its crazy how no one appreciated the absolute advancement and dynamic of this game. the nostalgia of open world and sprite design Pokemon on steroids with a WAY more incredible and relatble back story. its even funnier that theres that spam going around of that fake pokemon game if it was designed with a much more sinister plot line. this game was exaclty that mixed in with the physical forms of light vs darkness like kingdom hearts... this really was a one of a kind game mixing the best elements of games at the time along with games to come. truly ahead of its time

What a great game, loved being able to temper weapons as you level, and after so many levels they changed into a new weapon. Some of the dating sim answers had me rolling as well.

I always loved seeing Meis go from smiling to a huge grin on his face; made me super excited, like I was feeling what he was feeling watching, and playing this game during this scene. I also thought it was funny how he was raised to basically be a perv/“charm all the ladies”, like as if that was mega important to do in his life. Lol. Thought it was weird that Nelsha would speak in 3rd person, like my Nana does. Also liked how you could date multiple women, and get away w/ that sh**, cuz Meis wasn’t really committed to anyone, such a player, but I knew Sodina was the one he loved the most, or @ least, he was drawn to her/spent the most time w/ her on his journey. Also, I liked how “Money Girl” had bright green hair coincidentally, can’t remember her name. And the dates would be like: “Would you still like me if I was a ghost? Orrrrr if I was fat?, orrr a man? ( I think)”And I would choose the right answer, since it wouldn’t matter to me, ur still you no matter what form you’re in, but maybe that’s just me. Also, I would end up memorizing the beginning, since I kept restarting it, since I didn’t know where to save the game, and it took me forever to progress in the story for the “. . . Bring back a special Mineral, and go east and north west”, or whatever, since I didn’t know directions to go to on the map. But yeah, was the 1st RPG I ever played, a gift from my mom’s bf @ the time, it even came w/ stickers as well, annnnd he bought me the PlayStation to go w/ it. Really loved the game, even tho I didn’t really understand the adult concepts much. Basically it was what made me wanna continue playing RPGs throughout my gaming exp. Which is also why I really loved playing FF9, my big sis Roxanne bought it for me, and I never heard of the series back then, and fell in love w/ it, it’s actually one my most fave games of all time.

That's a REALLY awesome opening, combining CG and hand-drawn art. I love Persona 3 and 4, so I'm sad that I missed out on this. Maybe I'll be lucky and find an old copy used.

Oh, one more thing, it’s kinda funny how Guzma is very similar to Dark Sneider’s friend from the “Bastard!!” Anime from Netflix, I think maybe he was modeled after him. As well as “Gurren Lagaan” or however you spell it, the main character looks/reminds me of Meis, and the girl looks similar to Etna from Disgaea, and the other guy looks like a mix of Laharl as well. Couldn’t get into that show, but it’s interesting to find similarities in diff anime’s and games. Kinda like how Wonder Woman is a bit like Sailor Moon w/ the color scheme, and outfit/accessories. [Only noticed this one recently, there’s a vid where Wonder Woman has the audio of “Mooooon Tiara Magiiiiic!” while she throws her tiara for an attack.]

I never even knew about this game, and I don't know how I even ended up here... It's 3:00 AM, I said I'm going to go sleep, then KZbin decided to pull a 3 AM cat video in my recommendations... watched that then was scrolling though the comment section, thought a guy's profile picture looked familiar, turns out it was not, then oddly enough he had a video of Thousand Arms OST video uploaded by him, thought this was interesting let's give it a listen, ok sounds cool, then I type in "Thou-" in the search bar and then "Thousand Arms Opening Theme" pops up, I say "wtf???" and then I remember oh yeah Google mechanics I forgot... aaaand ended up here... It's 3:07 AM and I still haven't gone to sleep...
