This is an inherently light-hearted concept, and since Trail Out has already gone wild with the more fantastical elements of the FlatOut series, the grounded yet fun nature of Wreckfest is a perfect opportunity to make a trailer like this that shows both irreverence to any real semblance of weight to the situations playing out while simultaneously showing genuine grace and elegance in the way it teases the moment-to-moment gameplay of Wreckfest 2.

Guys don't forget one important thing in the history of combat racing, many of the best chapters of the various games have always been the second chapters for example: Destruction Derby 2; Flatout 2; Carmageddon 2 Carpocalyspe now; Twisted Metal 2 so I have a lot of hope that this chapter will be among the best in the future

@@walternocito7434 Flat out 2 definitely wasnt better than Flat out 1. Flat out 2 had way too arcadey handling and boring tracks that were too wide and easy. You almost never needed to use brakes because the tracks consisted of high speed corners only.

I hope that the collisions in DERBY mode will be STRONGER than in Wreckfest 1. Flatout 2 had best derby mode. Great pace, great strength of collision and better endurance for longer derby. It's pointless when a derby ends after 3 hits. It's also pointless when it's too long, the collisions aren't spectacular, and the endurance bar drops by 1% even after a big hit on the other car. Flatout 2 really did it better than Wreckfest. Wreckfest is better at racing. And the music. There need to be more songs, because after 100 races in campaign it gets really boring.

Agreed unless Wrecreatiom was more intended for that a more creative focused game I always got the impression of. I want a car builder to mix parts with different cosmetic or actual part upgrades, or some fair mechanic (story line or just a garage or other stuff, a mechanic type vibe) or mechanical like thing. Played a few old games that offer that part customisation like Sega GT (Sim) and Pure (ATV game more arcadey) and enjoyed it the features there. But a track builder like a Stuntman, TrackMania or building rustic type tracks or engaging derbies or more would be great.

PLEASE ADD... 1. Dynamic weather systems with real wind storms, tornados, real lightning, thunder and rain. 2. Gas tank explosions. 3. The best part about Flatout 2 was taking things out on the map to get boost or nitrous. It encouraged wreckage. You got the points for hitting people too. I find with Wreckfest 1, it’s good to collide but sometimes you just end up taking yourself out. I like the realism of it but I always thought this type of game should be a wee bit more arcade.

You guys are Legends! Wreckfest is the only racing game which have the best game mechanics and feels Just smooth af. I Played Almost every racing game even iRacing, but not a single game came close to wreckfest's game mechanics. That was my only wish and now my dream come true. Love it! I have over 1200 videos on my channel and easily half of them are wreckfest gameplay. I've been playing since the early alpha, back when it was "Next Car Game" and one of the maps, an early version of Savlox Sand Pit, I believe and it was so incomplete it used texture placeholders for some parts - and I still play a few times a week. Also not sure it would be really feasible, people would throw up so much and actually fear crashes which in a way is good but the point of the game is to crash and break stuff if you want and can, doing so in VR would be really nauseous

I guess it won't be like flatout 2, but that's what I really want. I loved that you got rewarded for crashing into other cars and destroying stuff. And the music was great. My brother and I was drinking, used a racing wheel with a strong force feedback and drove like maniacs, trying to win and crash as much as possible. When you saw a bunch of cars ahead of you that had crashed and you saw the opportunity to crash into all of them at super high speed it was the most fun and exciting thing ever. I tried to find other games like that, but none of them had this kind of fun.

There will be no VR because it would require a big code rewrite for it to work, Wreckfest is a 2013 game deep down. Also not sure it would be really feasible, people would throw up so much and actually fear crashes which in a way is good but the point of the game is to crash and break stuff if you want and can, doing so in VR would be really nauseous

remember those flatout minigames or whatever, it was like long jump & high jump kinda things, only instead of using the car you'd launch your driver thru the windshield. they were great

probaly not coz of Motion Sickness , I bought quest 3 just for racing games and flight simulators but now I can barely play it coz Motion Sickness , so now Iam stuck with porn games an pool table , hahahah

@@Rob-ik6rihuh? Racing games as all cockpit games are usually the least problematic in terms of motion sickness. This game in VR would be incredible.

@@kraenk12 Al racing games in VR are incredible I was blown away when I first try Automobilista 2 , but the prorblem is motion sickness , Do you have Vr headset ?

⁠I’m not sure I can only speak for myself but I play racing games via VR regularly and never have any issues similar to flying sims never get nauseous. I think it’s a missed opportunity if they don’t, I’ll probably still play in flat screen but will very much miss that immersive experience playing games like this. Perhaps it’s something which could be supported via Modding community.
