THR really works in a smaller environment. Makes the speaker's speak more freely. All that pomp, lighting and ceremony makes performers out of directors. I'd love to see (after the pandemic has been calmed) them bring back this sense of smallness, exchange, brevity. Here's to hoping!

i had respect for the female director until the end, obviously she is lost with the reality and darren hit an important point, video on demand and cable and internet is the wave for real film and indie fans. fuck the cinemas, it is all kids films mostly in the states and overpriced also. priced themselves out. like going to a ride like darren said, which is fine, fuck the cinema, cable has the best options and netflix video on demand, the real fans will thrive and are thriving through that medium already and it shows!

damn, i love darren arnofsky, but he fucked up here, he contradicted himself completely, he said he would rather show bullets entering and etc, meaning he would rather give a lesser rating for more extreme violence, and then he turns around and says that violence and sexuality are flipped and that violence is too accepted and sexuality is not, which i agree with completely but not the first, didnt make sense and was a contradiction. its fine, some directors lose touch, but gotta stay the course darren. lmao

the guy from blue valentine makes a point but misses another one.I saw blue valentine and liked the idea of it.Wasn't a fan of the movie or of the acting ryn gosling is a good actor period . Same with michelle williams ,the reason for the NC-17 is very clear and this is the point he misses.You dont need to show things from peoples every day lives exactly how they do it .That's not the point this was love story not a sex story its obvious this man is oblivious to this fact.

NC17 Is a rating that is a Notch below pornography which when you look at the sexual content of this film.It's essentially of a softcore nature orson welles made a comment about .Exciting people and turning them on to new experiences but when you actually are showing.The real thing or getting relatively close to it, its antipathetic as well as distracting .For a movie with such a profound message he cheapened it with graphic sex scenes
