Great video! I got a group of these a few weeks ago, 5 females and 4 males living in a 30 gallon together with praecox rainbows and neocaridina-shrimps. Wouldn't keep them in a much smaller aquarium when having other tank mates as well. They're really active without being stressed out, just curious and wants to explore things all the time. And even though many species profiles say that these fish thrive in the upper half of the aquarium, mine are really all over the place. I wasn't completely sure to get them or not, even though I love(!) rainbows, because I thought these looked so weird, but now having them at home... I love these little fish as well. They're so beautiful, so interesting and very peaceful. Oh, and I do feed mine both flake food and frozen cyclops. They seem to prefer to eat while the food is sinking, and they really do have small mouths, but that's not an issue for me. Really hope that I will manage to get babies from them some day, luckily I have soft and slightly acidic water so maybe... This week I'm starting my 53 gallon aquarium and will probably move all my rainbows there (I also have luminatus in one aquarium). With a lot of plants and more high quality food... Maybe? I haven't succeed with my luminatus yet, so I hope that these threadfins are easier...

Can you do a video on clear freshwater fish? I want to set up a planted tank but I want to stock it with transparent fish. A list of possible fish species and their care requirements including tank size and sggression levels eould be spectacular. I think that transparent fish are really underrated within the hobby.

Beautiful fish. I wish I had a hint of Joanna's aquascape talent. I recently set up my 1st heavily planted 40B. I like it ok. It definitely does not have that composition that I see with yours.

I have a 29 gal with threadfin rainbows and Red Neon blue eyed rainbows, just beautiful and even bred in my quarantine tank! Note, I did start the threadfins in a 20 long, but they enjoy the swimming space in the 29 much better. ❤

Beautiful tank and fish!! Do pseudomugil and threadfin rainbows handle moderate-high flow well, for say a tank with stiphodon gobies?

I got some threadfins a few days ago.. but they arent showing much color. Majorly grey with so less pink/yellow hue. I stay in a warm country with temp at 30°c. My tank has aquatic soil with 5-6 small plants, a lava rock and a hob filter. I feed them crushed blood worms and flakes. Please suggest how I can make them more comfortable and bring out their best colors.

I bought three maybe 2 months ago...one passed away like 2 weeks ago, it was pretty skinny. Now i have 2 but one of them most likely has a disease because the back end of ita body is discolored and also looking skinnier. Any thoughts
