I can only echo everyone else's praise for your really excellent video tutorial. After finally paying for a lesson this week on how to use my overlocker (years and years after buying it but despairing of ever being able to use it), 2 days later I tried a test piece. Aagghh. Threads all tangled so had to try and re-thread. 3 hours and huge frustration later, I wanted to throw the machine out of the window. Tried again this morning with the help of your great video. HOORAY! SUCCESS. You will be my constant companion whenever I need to re-thread the machine - especially that pesky lower looper. Can't believe why Janome made it so incredibly difficult to thread. Many thanks once again. You are a talented teacher.

All I wanted to do is smash the wife's serger into little pieces! We had miss placed her manual and her color code diagram was confusing. After watching this twice and then again while I threaded her serger. You made it look so easy and I now am able to do so myself! I don't understand why I had so much trouble before! You would think since I am able to thread both of her ten needle embroidery machines from scratch that the serger would have been easy! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!

That was REALLY helpful. I was given a serger from a friend. There was no instructional manual. Are sergers similar to sewing machines in that I don't need a manual to get a sewing machine going, no matter what kind. Are all sergers set up using a similar premise?

I was given a Juki Serger, and well, I messed up the threads serging catnip toys (which is really NOT an easy feat with cats around...) anyways... I had to re-thread it from scratch, and my teacher had told me, NEVER try to NEVER have to. well, your awesome vid (and the Lord answering a quick prayer) saved my sanity, AND the nip toys! :) thank you! Hello I love your video. I am having an issue with by ulna serger. It used to work great then all of a sudden i turn it on and it sews for half a second then gets stuck. When i open it up to look what is it getting stuck on it looks like the lower looper blade can't move because it gets stuck with the top needles thread. I can move the hand wheel away from me but when i turn towards me it gets stuck in that position also. I have tried rethreading it 100 times to make sure i have everything in correct order. It is still not working, do you have any advice? Thank you

Hi, I honestly have not heard of this brand of serger before. I've had a quick look on the Internet and can only find one which seems to be an industrial serger. Make sure you DON'T but an industrial machine as your first. Industrial sergers are very fast, make a lot of noise and use more electricity than a domestic one.

All sergers are quite generic with little differences here and there. Just have a practise.
