By far the best videos about fabric shopping in Paris I've seen. It's good to hear what you really thought about each shop and area and not just gushing endorsements for everything. I'm an avid sewer and visit Paris 2or3 times a year but have never ventured into the fabric shops, I will next time I go now 😀😀😀

Oh thank you, I'm so glad you found it interesting. I have to admit, I am rather jealous that you get to go to Paris so frequently!! Hope you do manage to get to some of the fabric shops next time :)

I live in West London and the Euro Star only takes 2&1/2 hours to go from central London to central Paris.

Love the idea of putting the Eiffel Tower ribbon on your Paris souvenir garments

Thank you! I thought it would be a lovely way to create lasting momentos of the fabric I bought xxx

Hi Suzy, great selection. 😍😍 Maybe worth mentioning, Anna Ka Bazaar in Paris have an online shop and sell their fabrics worldwide.

Oh yes I know, and I linked to their shop in the description box. Hopefully i didn't imply their fabrics could only be purchased in person in their shop! Anyway, thanks for letting people know.

Hi Suzie, such a lovely haul from France 👌. I adore all your gorgeous stripey fabrics 💕always a winner with me...love a stripe. Can't wait to see what you make from that amazing double gauze. There are some lovely relaxed and casual dresses out there at the moment that would suit the double gauzes, linen viscose or cotton's . Have you seen Merchant and Mills - The Geo Top and Dress and the Francine Top and Dress.... I think you might like them for spring summer. Also the Alder shirt dress by Grainline Studio which I'm sure you know about. Also Peppermint do a pleated summer dress digital free pattern that looks very cute too 👍💕😁😘

With the see through fabric I have a dress that has a print and then I have dress out of the see through that goes over the bottom dress. It is beautiful. I love your fabric choices.

I don’t know when this was posted, but I love the purple stripe/plaid. May I suggest (if I’m not too late) a high-low dress that has a higher hem in the front and a lower one in the back so the inside shows.

Ooo what a fun idea, thank you! I haven't sewn that fabric up yet so I shall keep your suggestion in mind!

I have that quilted sweater fabric! Turned into a comfy sweater :) And the gold-dotted double gauze sews up really easily, in spite of the metal dots- off-cut, in the pale grey colourway, turned shell top. I have the same 'problem' with Atelier Brunette- I can see they are really beautiful fabrics, but they are never anything I would actually want to wear. They're generally more my mother's colours and style... But yours is actually lovely, and that leafy fabric is really gorgeous!

I love all your choices, Suzy! I was totally “vert” with envy. :):) I think that sweatshirt fabric would be a fabulous Toaster- you could really play with the two sides. And that linen viscose stripe!!! Oui, oui!!! :):)

Oh yes, a Toaster would be perfect for it! Merci ;)

Beautiful fabrics and nice to hear honest opinion of the shops. I love the AB fabric, a different print to a lot of the ones you see in the fabric shops here. Look forward to your makes. 😊

Lovely fabrics! I know the feeling of beeing overwhelmed by the amount of fabrics in that area of Paris 😅 I was there four years ago and ended up with only one fabric from Cupon Saint Pierre 🙃 It was a lovely ditsy flower- and berryprint that I really love, still have most of it left. I agree about silly souvenirs but I usually pick up something useful instead. From Paris I bought a fantastic handmade necklace and a suede crossbody handbag, both in little tiny shops off the main shopping areas. Such lovely mementos to own and wear ❤️ LOVED Paris!

I adore the Atelier Brunette fabric you chose. It is the perfect color palette for me 😉 But all joking aside, I think it will suit you too. It's hard to find those double-sided fabrics in the US. I was looking for fabric like the wide, blue stripes last summer. I hope we might be going England in July, so maybe I can find some in London. Thanks for sharing.

Lol, well I did take a completely empty hand luggage case especially for my fabric purchases! Yes, the ribbon was a ridiculous price!!!
