Daniel looked like such a chump in this movie. Not only does he get beaten up the entire film, but in the tournament at the end, he gets a bye all the way to the finals, and still gets destroyed by Barnes, who had to fight a lot of opponents to get there. I’m honestly surprised that Ralph Macchio went along with the script.

I really wish part 3 and part 2 were switched around. Mike Barnes should have been in part two, it would follow up more consistently with Kreese getting with Silver, wanting Daniel's "knuckles to bleed", after Kreese cut his hands on glass when fighting Miyagi. Silver could mess with Daniel and cause problems along with Barnes and he faces someone even greater and more ruthless than Lawrence Since Lawrence is kicked out, maybe he could have redeemed himself. Possibly learn from Miyagi who saved him and even be a sparring partner for Daniel, so he can face Barnes, who would basically be like the Clubber Lang of Karate Kid movies. Then after he beats Barnes, Daniel should have went to Japan and faced Chozen, who would be his most difficult opponent and at the end of the movie, it would tie up nicely because it would be the final movie and the one that has a fight to the death. I think this is what they should have done, because honestly it almost feels like it should be switched around and would flow so much better.

Only thing I don't like about this scene, is that Silver was just at a club with Daniel, but all 3 of them are in their karate uniforms at 12:00 at night, when they're not training or anything. Other than that, love this scene.

As Ralph Macchio is older than Terry Silver's actor 😂

Damn the writers really did Daniel dirty in this movie he went from being willing to die in KK2 to never standing up for himself and thinking the line yes he will you won't is a great way of standing up for himself and his Sensei ya the writers definitely owe Daniel Larusso an apology for this one

Just as Miyagi defeats Silver, he hears commotion behind him, turns around and sees Kreese and Barnes beating up Daniel, who felt the need the come back inside. Miyagi dispatches them both and he and Daniel leave while listening to Silver's taunts, shaking his head at Daniel's response. Miyagi says "Daniel-san, this why Miyagi say stay in car. You listen to Miyagi, no get butt kicked. And Daniel-san, that worst comeback Miyagi ever hear in whole life. Next time, you just leave and no speak."

I don’t see why Kreese tried to attack Miyagi alone when Silver was going to help him. I suppose he figured that there wasn’t any glass nearby to accidentally punch he thought he could take him (answering my own question I guess),
