The problem is that Hamas refuses to accept Israel as a state. I've done a lot of research on this topic. This conflict is primarily over a land steeped in religious history for both Arabs and Jews so it's natural that both of them want to have claim to the land. Thing is one of them is only willing to live in peace with the other. Yes, I know the civilians are no part of this conflict, but Hamas unfortunately hides within their civilian population and conducts constant terror attacks on the Israelis. This group of terrorists are consistent aggressors against Israel and I can't imagine having to live every day knowing there is a group plotting to kill your people and hitting your civilians every other year or so. It's like you never know when your time will be cut short living there. I can understand why Israel so desperately wants to eradicate this group of terrorists and will use any means necessary even if it means there will be civilians as collateral damage. There really is no easy way out of this, they've tried peace so many times. You've got 1948, 1956, 1961, 1973, 1982 and 2006 conflicts all involving Israel going to war with different Arab nations around them. At a certain point, you have to ask yourself, is it really the Jews that hate the Arabs or the other way around?

They aren't. There's a myriad of explainer videos every time the situation blows up. Tens of thousands of them over the last 30 years alone. When this is over, and the next time happens 6-12 months later, there will again be a flurry of explainer videos answering the exact same questions. People don't understand, because they don't want to understand. Very often, understanding means accepting their country supports genocide, supports war crimes, that their taxes fund this nonsense. That's very uncomfortable for a lot of people. When it's happening in a far off place that only gets media coverage during these kinds of flare ups, it's easy for people to ignore the issues as soon as it leaves the news cycle. The same people will be asking the same questions next time

What do they own exactly? You should understand that there were no Palestinians back in the 1940s. There are multiple attempts for two states for Jews and Arabs, guess who refuses every time? I pray for Palestinians and Israelis. I believe both are good people. I know Palestinians have been oppressed and many atrocities have been committed and that is absolutely not right and needs to stop. So many families destroyed. So many children injured and killed. We watch in horror as the tragedy continues to unfold in unfathomable ways. What Hamas did to Israel on October 7th was pure depraved evil and I absolutely condemn it. But this is Hamas, not Palestinians- the world does not blame Palestinians for these attacks. I wish there was enough strength for Palestinians to rise up against Hamas and free the hostages they stole from Israel. No more hostages. No more fighting…no more death. Think of a scenario: someone came into your house as a guest and you let them stay. But within a few days he said that he's also the owner of the house, and after a few more days he kicked you out of YOUR OWN HOUSE.
