Happy memories here. I have built a 1/48 Pz38 with my Daughter and going to build a War Toons Pink Sherman soon. I never remember seeing my Dad modelling but I know he had a decent collection of 1970's era models. I remember a Panzer 1, Bren gun carrier, some artillery. But unfortunately he has passed on and they were all lost 20 years ago. Would give anything to see those models again. Thanks for reviving some old memories in me Dave. 🇦🇺🇦🇺

It's really great to have your family in the business 😊 My daughter assembled a 1:72 F-4U Corsair when she was seven years old. She's 22 now and that poor Corsair is still waiting for a paint...

Very cool. I think the Lotus number 5 was driven by F1 ace Jimmy Clark. Speaking of F1 you are from Melbourne. Ever been to the Grand Prix? If so, what did you think? I love the sport and need to visit. I’m from the states. Got back into modeling 2 years ago. Love your channel and work. Cheers

Hi Paul, thanks for your kind words. I've never been to the Grand Prix, but you can hear it all over the city. I live about 10km (7miles?) from the track and you can hear it as clear as a bell when they race!

John Pol I’m so sorry to hear about your Dad. My Dad is 80. This makes it more important to have these sort of lasting connections, because time gets us all in the end.

Hi Dave - Jim from Minneapolis Minnesota in the US of A - I am a huge fan and I enjoy your builds but I'm a historic racing kit builder I would like to challenge you to take on a historic Tamiya 1/12 F1 kit!! I would love to see your videos documenting a build like that!! Thank you sir and keep the hoard growing!!!!

Hi Jim, thanks so much, and greetings from Australia! Ohhh, a big F1 kit... that would be entirely out of my comfort zone (which isn't necessarily a bad thing) I'll have a think about it... Cheers, D

That's so cool! My paternal grandfather served on the HMCS Snowberry for the whole war. That's why I had too get that kit. Now I've got 2 of them. The latest version has wood venier decks and photo etch. One Wil be R.C. and the other a early version cutaway. That Lotus is good enough for your display case mate! Cheers

Lance Caldwell wow, I’d love to see a RC 1/72 Snowberry cruising around a pond! That would be brilliant! You’ll have to video it once it’s done, I really want to see that!

@@DavesModelWorkshop just bought a out of print book on the subject. Cost 100$ can. @ least it's in good nick and has all isometric drawings I need. The Flower Class Corvette Agassiz. It is the best info on this subject so far. 10 years of research so far. Might start it next year. Hopefully?!?! Lol.
