Hi everyone! Here's a video showing 3 of the Inktober drawings I worked on recently! It's such an amazing challenge and I'm really enjoying working through another sketchbook. Adding the red character, the adventurer, to your dragon drawings is like telling a story of one big universe where a man goes around the world on a quest to meet / slay all the ancient etc. dragons, which has a really nice touch to it. I'd like to see more drawing like that, for example : where you drew the excalibur-like sword the character showing up in the background, that would be really interesting to see ^^ ( well... mainly because my drawing skill aren't that great and this idea just popped in my head like that :D )

Toned tan paper is awesome, I love the gray paper versions too. It helps you define a middle value so you can go straight to working in lights and darks. Your art style looks amazing on this paper, though I think that about anything you draw on lol. Thank you for sharing your amazing Inktober drawings with us :)

I tend to go more towards the toned gray paper more than the toned tan. However, I think that is because I work more with cool colors so I like the way that it looks a little bit better. I love the use of prismacolors on both types of paper.

I only use 2 kinds of paper now thanks to this video. I use the Toned Tan strath more papier and 300 gsm watercolour paper 50 pieces of paper. Both should cover me for a long time. I don,t use any other sketchbooks just these 2 i know they are too big to take them whit you but i love the paper on both. Myby i buy a small toned paper sketch book i,ve i can find one. I love Lethal Chris drawings wish i could draw like him.

This is my third year trying, first time I'm serious about it though. Initially I was doing one drawing per day but now I'm kind of making sure I draw every day but thinking on the concepts longer, then doing a couple of full, inked illustrations every other day or so. Exploring different techniques, including some that I'm not as good at, and it's really fun but also sometimes a bit stressful. Super glad to be spending this much time on art again though!

Your Inktober drawings never fail to inspire me! Your line work adds an entirely new element to your drawings and your use of highlights add so much dimension. Awesome job on Inktober so far! I've also been trying to do Inktober, but I have quite a bit of catching-up to do at this point. 😅 I had another big project come up at the end of September, so that has also been taking up a lot of my time. That being said, it has been a very fun experience!

Just saw the full sketchbook tour for Inktober 2019. I was wondering about the process, if you did a pencil sketch first. So it was really awesome to see this. Your pencil sketches are practically perfect to begin with, haha. I only saw you erase part of the dragons neck but not much more. I'm really curious if they have this paper or the grey stuff at the craft store. I haven't gotten anything in a long time, but feel inspired. Pigma micron, some kind of white pen, the brush pens fascinate me, I want to try watercolor so some watercolor paper too. I've tried all kinds of different crafts, coloring with crayons and pencils, pencil sketching, scrapbooking, cake decorating (ideas starting with a sketch -- one year I made my own birthday cake with three of my favorite characters on it, Yoda, Smeagol and Dobby the house elf. They share a similar color scheme so I didn't have to make too many different colors of frosting. My problem with the edible art is nobody wants to cut into the cake.) I've done some needlework like cross stitch, jewelry making, caligraphy. I'm all over the place too much to pick any kind of specialty. It's like that in all parts of my life. I'm female, but took metal shop and woodshop in high school I liked woodshop better, so maybe that's why I like the warmth of the tan paper. But I could see the coolness of the grey paper working for some applications too.

Inktober has been a bit difficult for me, half way though the month life stuff got in the way and I fell behind quite a few days. I managed to get to 18, which I'm proud of, I did more traditional ink drawings than I have ever done, learned a lot about using brush pens and inking, and stretched my creativity as much as I could. Wish I could continue, but i feel forcing myself to finish 4-5 days of prompts to try and catch up instead of enjoying the process isn't very fun. I'm happy with my progress this month, but i do kind of want to try and finish it still.

These are incredible! Sadly now I feel bad about my own drawings... XD I drew on toned tan paper with markers, like you did. I made that choice after seeing your Inktober video from last year. I haven't missed a day, but several of my drawings have came out looking rather poor and hastily drawn. In my defense, it's my first year participating in Inktober, I usually only have an hour or two for each drawing, I'm not the best with markers, and about 1/4 of my markers have dried out. Things haven't exactly gone as planned! I'm just proud of myself for not skipping a single day.

I am currently trying to get my inktober drawings done, I have loads of ideas, but not the skill to put them down on paper and that really demotivates me, cause I am so bad at drawing and want to make beautiful art too cause I love it, I practise and stuff and really try to improve but my art still looks bad :(
