Always WONDERFUL. Reading some comments below, I'm reminded of Jesus' first sermon and 1st public word... "repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand". Without conviction can there be salvation (John 16:8-12). It's the work of the Spirit when God is drawing near. And the fullness of the Spirit dwelled in Him. Can you even imagine such "atmosphere" about Him as He taught, where they sensed and saw His Authority. The humble were awed, the proud were incensed. Salvation is certainly a thing of the heart. Rom 10.

Your feelings are a gift of God as well: He is always calling sinners to repent, in order to live in His presence. I have also be “moved away from the hope of the gospel”too many times. And somehow when I repent and believe in his love and mercy he draws me into his presence again. Love covers a multitude of sins. God is love. In his presence we are clothed in his righteousness, not our own: remember our righteousness is as filthy rags. Whose righteousness will the Father accept? Our filthy rags or the perfect righteousness of his Son who gave his life for us? Pride constrains us to offer our filthy rags because we do not understand the magnitude of his love for us. “Who became sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God through him who died for us.” I am so easily deceived to fall back to trusting my own works. We have been given a far better option: we are allowed to offer the righteousness of Jesus for our sin. Clearly a much much better option. But when we are being blinded by our failures, then we lose sight of the gospel and the beautiful love of God. His love surpasses the love of our family, friends, and even the love of good parents for their children. I learned a little Hebrew and began to see the love of God in every letter and word. No one can grasp the beauty of his love for us, because if they could then the would no longer be any earthly good. They would cry all day to be with Jesus. But we all have a purpose here. Some build, some teach, some encourage, some do what they want, and some do what no one else wants to do. But we all are here to help someone; because the love that He has for each of us is perfect and unchanging. We cannot alter his love for us. We can only believe and trust in the sacrifices that Jesus has made on our behalf. That is the way of peace. His sacrifice was perfect and no one can change that. We are asked to come enjoy the fruits of his labor; quit trusting in ourselves and in our righteousness, and put our faith in the work that he has finished on our behalf. Clearly Jesus knew and accomplished what his Father wanted. He even taught that we could pray saying “Our Father, who is in heaven,

I don't personally know any truly righteous believers, this is not to say they are not around but it would seem by and large we are all imperfect in various ways. However I think it is important to note what the emphases are in the Scriptures and to continue to try to learn from that emphasised focus rather than note that because we are imperfect in some ways we cannot improve or try to do good in meaningful and valuable ways. I know persons that equate not smoking or drinking with righteousness but have they endeavoured over the same ten years or longer to also try to be a more kinder and understanding person. I think if we are to be concerned, if we are to fret, then we should on what we see is important and valuable, namely trying to be a more kind and 'upright' person for the sake of a saddened and confused world. But note, it is easy to say these things, perhaps easier than other things, but trying to be kind, understanding, and good-willed can also take a lifetime of practise and effort, yet Scripturally these are the ways we are guided to learn of and live our lives in other words the essence of the law is goodness, trying to be a kinder more understanding and thus good person in a confused and saddened and yes very dangerous world. We are all flawed and imperfect but we can hope for understanding, kindness, and mercy for our spiritual lives and guidance just as we can see that is the essential purpose and aim of the teachings and commandments (Matthew 7:12), and thus we can further consider how this emphasis reflects God's will for all living persons and creatures let's keep trying to learn through the teachings good ways to live, most of all trying to learn to be more kind and understanding with others (if carefully at times in a dangerous and saddened world, Matthew 10:16) He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? I have a friend who works in prison ministry. Just two days ago he told me a story maybe a little like yours. He spoke with a man who was very broken. The man said that he had hurt his family and abused them and had no relationship with them any longer, and while he was in prison he mourned and regretted his loss. But my friend said let's pray together and ask that they will come and see you so that you can ask for forgiveness. It was only 3 weeks later when he returned to the prison, and he saw the same man who no longer looked so broken. My friend asked "him what has happened?". And the man responded my family came to see me, I asked them for forgiveness. And joy and tears then flowed from each of them. Pray to the Lord that you might have an opportunity to do the same. Be blessed, today is the day of salvation.

You now must start building up yourself spiritually by doing or observing all of the other things that Jesus had taught His disciples. The majority of people are keep saying that all a person has to do to be saved is to just believe only. Now, it is true that the Bible says to believe and you will be saved, but the devil believes also, and he is not going to heaven. It is very important that everybody that reads the Bible know their vocabulary and their English grammar. Too many people out here cannot rightly divide the word of God and it's exactly because they don't fear Him. All these people out here saying you don't have to do nothing to be saved and they are liars. If you're saved by grace and you never had Grace before you received the holy Spirit because that's where Grace comes from you don't receive the holy Spirit living your unrepentant life. It is not simply believing and never has been. People are going to have a rude awakening because of their churches and their denominations and they're not rightly dividing the word. Believe in a lie over the truth and get a delusion turn a truth into a lie and get a reprobate mind is the worst thing any of you people including myself can do. Look at these people saying you don't have to repent to be saved well it's kind of weird how God would call all people to repentance. It's kind of weird that Jesus would preach repentance Paul preach repentance and all the other disciples preached repentance if these people are going to profess that you do not have to repent to be a born again Christian. You're looking at a lot of frauds out here. and don't just point fingers at Jesus Christ Jesus did not do everything if you have to go out here and live a righteous life like you have been told to. What does Gods grace do teach a person to deny all ungodliness and worldly lust and to live an upright life a righteous life. I know what a Pharisee is it's one that honors god with their lips and not their heart one that claims to be a Christian and is not living the life of a Christian. We do not get saved by saying something, nor do we get saved by doing something. We get saved because we BELIEVE what Jesus Christ did. He shed His blood and died for our sins. There is nothing to say and there is nothing to do. One needs to simply believe the GOOD NEWS of 1 Cor. 15: 3-4. Salvation is believing!

No unregenerate individual can be saved by "doing" anything (i.e., good works), but they are only saved by believing on the work that Jesus Christ did on their behalf, 1 Cor. 15: 3-4 and Acts 16:30-31 and Eph. 2: 8-9. But a regenerate individual CAN be rewarded by good works, if they do as the Bible says, Eph. 2: 10 and Heb. 11: 6.

And then you must be Born Again. Justified - Saved - Born Again Once we are born as an infant we then need to learn how to walk and talk. Just like when we first get "saved", so the saying goes. Romans 10:9,10 Believe in your heart that God (The Father) raised Jesus from the dead 'and' confess Jesus as Lord and you will be saved. (It's "not" faith alone, it's Faith And...) You can say what you want John if you're righteousness is not better than a Pharisee or a scribe you will not enter into the kingdom. You were told to live a righteous life and that's exactly what Grace can get you on the right path. If you think that there are not requirements to salvation you have been mistaken. the Messiah always guided believers to learn from and live by the teachings, which are good for our spiritual well-being (Matthew 7:24) do you think it is wiser to say to others (and most importantly to yourself) that it is not wise to follow and learn from Jesus' teachings, or that it is wise to try to learn through the teachings good ways to live moreover we can see in the Gospels that when the Messiah returns there are different examples of believers, there are those who tried to learn to do good and are thus commended, and there are those believers (note they are not unbelievers) who decided to practise evil such as harming others who are then brought into judgement (Matthew 24:45 - 51) we must consider, as individuals, whether it is wiser to say and reason that we are to try to learn from the Messiah's guidance (Luke 6:46) or to say it makes no difference and that it is even an act of disbelief (!) to learn from and live by Jesus' teachings, which indeed does the Gospels and the Messiah explain to us is rightful and which way is wrong and can easily lead to judgement. Was the person with one talent who reasoned they could not be perfect like their Lord therefore they would not at all justified or condemned by such reasoning (Matthew 25:14 - 29) so when we justify ourselves by telling others to not keep the teachings or to try at all (Matthew 5:19), are we being wise, and are we being consistent, sound, and comprehensive with the Messiah's words, teachings, and explanations, is it not good for us to try to learn to be more kind, understanding, caring, and compassionate with others (Matthew 7:12) let's keep trying to learn through the teachings good ways to live, most of all trying to learn to be more kind and understanding with others (if carefully at times in a dangerous and saddened world, Matthew 10:16) He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? Are believers truly free of any judgement ? Hi. I'm not CJ but could I give you some verses that might quiet your heart and prove that the rapture is pretribulational?? Both Jesus and Paul promised believers they would be saved from wrath to come (Matt 3:7, Luke 3:7, 1 Thessalonians 1:10). And also kept from the hour of trial(Rev 3:10). Also, the pretrib rapture position is the only view that makes a clear distinction between Israel and the Church. Also, God has often delivered believers including Noah, Lot, and Rahab before punishing the world for sin.

Turning from your sins is not an act of doing works. It's a change of heart that God does in you. He gives you a new heart. The Holy Spirit helps you make those decisions by convicting your heart. It's not anything we can do apart from God

How does one come into a relationship with God, i.e. to be saved? I noticed that you quote Paul and not Christ Jesus, how did Jesus Christ say one will enter into Life? See Matthew 19:17, and shame on you if you discount what Jesus said. What? Was Jesus lying to you? After his death did he resend this command? You will have to answer this question for yourself, but I have not found where he did resend this command found in Matthew 19:17 In fact read Revelation 22:14.
