I'm hoping it gets delayed. The fact that we don't have any gameplay footage in game yet for the trailer and pre orderable announcement sets off big red flags. Also it's DLC for a still very broken game. I want to have fun with it, but I can't anymore... And this time my friend got it for me! I didn't even have to spend anything!

I just want the Treecko line to be in the DLC. That’s it. That is literally all I’m asking for. It’s never not been in the main series minus Legends Arceus since Ruby and Sapphire.

The change in VGC to have open team sheats has mitigated the surprise factor of tera types, and so instead it's a matter of when you decide to tera, and how you play around it. I think it's a great addition.

It does sound like a nice addition! I think this problem mainly applies to the online battle arena 😆 It looks like VGC took the steps to make it more of a fair environment that is less luck-based.

In spite of the many technical issues SV has, it is one of my favorite 3D pokemon games. It's probably my third favorite(among the 3D games), while legends arceus is my second favorite and ORAS is my first favorite(hoenn is too good to be beaten). SV had lovable characters, a crazy ending, plenty of cool pokemon, great quality of life features, an awesome region and I'm sure I'm forgetting other cool things. If game freak was given more time with gen 9, it could have been as great as gens 3-5, which, imo, were the golden years of pokemon. Here's hoping that the DLC will be great.

I think terrastalizing gives a fun twist to PvP but I do agree in terms of professional tournaments is really not the best they could've gone for... it'd suck to lose a whole tournament just based on luck

I've definitely been in that spot in VGC where the opponent had the most random tera type and it just walled everything I threw at it 😅

Knowing me, this will probably always be good to me despite me being (and probably always) sort of blind to its shortcomings since what it meant to me. It was the game that made me a pokemon fan after I got sapphire and just couldn't get into it, and it felt nice to have a more open exploration experience that also allowed me to start appreciating the more nuanced pokemon battles compared to normal rpgs, where I really do feel like I'm doing the same thing every time. Yet, I'd be lying if I said I couldn't feel some parts well thanks to things like the performance and just some basic balancing things. Heck, I bought this game as a joke to treat myself for Christmas, and yet I didn't expect myself to constantly be going to the wrong level gym and straight up performance issues, so much so that I felt straight up unmotivated to play at times. I just wish that it had a tad more time and looks to flesh out some stuff. Still, I'll be biased to an extent, as this, with its open world and just generally good memories made me a pokemon fan. So, thank you, stupid lizard game. You made me not feel guilty consuming your merchandise.

My honest problem(s) with Scarlet/Violet are the buggy nature, very bad lag, glitches, as well as the lies of how "open world" it is. Like yes you can go anywhere you want, but like, it teased it to seem like you could go and do anything but the game still requires you complete the gym battles and defeat the evil team in order to be able to access the finale. Which as a truly open world game shouldn't gate keep the story if it truly is open world.

THAT is actually quite true. That needed to be refined because it's an absolute joke. It was touted you can play this game how you want, but you really can't 😑 You HAVE to do a certain order to adjust with your levels.

I always play in hand held mode. Never see the super weird glitches. Just the SAME glitches that are very common for Wind Waker and Super Mario 64 and GTA series heck ALL games that are not 2D. I however HAVE crashed. Like a Lot. But only online and only the 1st month. Also I don't mind terestalization a Terra type can push you to think in battle You see your opponent has a terra type, you memorize that Icon then you say "grass Terra I need fire" but wait that's a water pokemon so now I need bug. also its easy/ lazy to program its just a hat and a shine. Unlike when a Pokémon grows massive or gains new body parts, this is easy to model from all 4 sides. So now ALL your Pokémon can have it. No more "But Only Charazard gets a new form" and you can cover for a weakness or double an existing attack or surprise some one with an unexpected defense. If your good you can tank the same hits and chip away at the other pokemon. Most people attack the slow time it takes to animate the terra orb but I don't care. that Slow animation is the same for GMax and Z moves and Megas etc What we have here is a move as silly as it looks that we can do with ANY pokemon no more "Every one can Diniomax bit only SOME can Giga Max" no more "Whaen are we going tpo get more Z moves or more Mega evolutions" Also I like how Paradox pokemon works its like getting fossil Pokemon only with out the lab. You earn most of them threw end game stuff, they look cool and if the game uses time travel in the DLC it'll stick the landing. If the DLC has no time travel at all it'll be a failed gimmick. I love the open world even if it doesn't scale Lifelessness happens in a lot of open games I do wish I had more cloths. I would love to slip in to a robe or cape or toga or armor. Also I want to furnish my bedroom love Eda as a Professor can I have just that clip? or like an Owl House Pokemon skit? I do want to go in side more buildings and have less shops Voice acting would really mess with production. I mean you have to pay those people and credit them and hear them repeat the same phrases. Ever play Epic Micky 2? that game is a double edged sword of glad I don't have to read combined with oh now I have to credit every VA from every country.

I see glitches all the time as you guys can see during the streams 😆 But nothing all too game breaking. And the technical limitations aren't nearly as noticeable if you play handheld which I end up doing.

What I want to see from future DLC? 1. non-uniform cloths 2. One version is set in the past and the other version is set in the future 3. I can hunt Pokémon and explore while under water 4. back story for my best friends 5. complete two more dexes

Most of the time I could get by fine with no voice acting, but some parts a character could recognize a voice or know when something was off with a voice, and I’m sitting here like ‘that’s… words. Yup.’ Other than that, I feel voice acting would have made those cinematic cutscenes better 17:02 Aw… I really like those ones… I guess I’m nobody :($ Overall, great video! I agree that pokemon SV isn’t like- a horrible game, although it’s not the absolute best game there is, it’s just ‘pretty good’ compared to the nightmare people describe it as-

Personally, I think Scarlet and Violet are fantastic blueprints for the future games. Breaking the mold is never clean on the first try. But the things they got wrong can easily be tweaked/addressed in future releases. As far as I'm concerned, they may have hit a few sour notes, but the score is looking very promising.

I think this took and refined what Legends Arceus did for sure 😌 I'd like to think it will only get better from this, but the performance aspect is what gets me. I really hope the technical problems don't get as bad again.

Personally this has absolutely been one of my favorite mainline Pokémon experiences, not necessarily my favorite game as I love ORAS first, Black 2 second but due to friends and how I felt regarding the over all blueprint surprisingly this gen definitely became number 3 for me, sure there’s the visual bugs but the entire game I was having a blast exploring and the new Pokémon are dang amazing, part of that was being able to go around Paldea with some of my family and friends through the Union Circle so while I agree it has its faults..overall Gen 9 has become one of my favorites. Been playing since Gen 3, any other Gen 3’s that had a similar opinion?

Yeah it's interesting! I wouldn't hold SV over quite a few Pokemon games, but the experience was amazing and I've stuck around with playing it far after the game ended - despite the postgame having almost nothing to do 🤔

@@TreeckoBro to be fair If I also included the Spin offs I’d say SV would be roughly #5 or #6 for me..as with Spin-offs my favorite Pokémon game is Explorers of Sky, then there’s also Gale of Darkness in there.

Hopes for DLC: - More Pokemon Multiverse lore. - More amazing music for the new areas we are visiting. - Fixing up the pokemon walk animations a bit more so they can keep up with you at a consistent pace while running. Also I agree with giving pokemon new abilities, and moves would make them more interesting. I also would of preferred an increase of stats towards some of the older pokemon too. Especially the ones that are just outclassed nowadays by power crept pokmeon from later generations. Terra allowing you to change typing, and allowing you the general statistical benefit of being a different type has been a nice attempt at something similar to me, oddly enough. That said, it could definitely use less obfuscation to make it not a wheel spin in battle; maybe that could be another DLC hope too?

5:45, re:Terastalization - I think this is why official VGC started doing open team sheet? Maybe it's because I've been getting into VGC lately but a lot of terastalization, to me, is mind games, and learning outprediction in order to catch your opponent at the right time. Given, it also probably helps that in stuff like VGC you're a lot more likely to see certain tera types more than others, but that's my take on it at least.

oh, additionally! Tera types, with improper planning, can lead to your pokemon being granted weaknesses they didn't have before being exploited - a Steel tera Gholdengo becoming weak to Fighting, or a Fairy tera Skeledirge being weak to Steel, both of which are types they would usually have an advantage against naturally.

Funny enough, it does actually reach that point from what I see. If you KNOW the type, you can almost predict when your opponent decides to terastalize. It just becomes a nightmare on the online battle arena where you get one shot and no rematches 😆
