The smell is called Petrichor - its a combination of oils from the trees, shrubs, grasses and soil mixed with Creosote, Mesquite and a whole mess of other plants in the desert Southwest.

Sabino is a killer dry bed - several deaths over the years. I’ve been caught by a flash flood on the TOP of Mt Lemmon at about 9000 ft. Dry creek went from dry to knee deep in 15 minutes. Two days after this, two hikers were killed in Sabino.

I love Tucson, we moved this past April and saw how high the water became at the River walk, there wasn't any water in it the day before.

Arizona needs to build sand dams in the washes to replenish the ground water.

They could use gully repair, bonds, check dams, etc to lessen flooding effects 3:01 He's wrong about flooding. Very little water penetrates dried out soil, even if it has received a few days rain. The soil has compacted and only a tiny amount of water has infiltrated the surface. It's that the plant matter is now hydrated and less water is used up to hydrate plant. Now more ends up as soil surface water...

Hey Reed, I just wanted to ask... I know you did advising work for the film “into the storm” and that the Dominators had a direct roll in influencing the “Titus”. Just wondering and no offense or anything, but was the Titus specifically designed badly _(nothing to protect the underside from winds, bad suspension, etc...)_ for movie and the final tornado scene sake? Thanks!
@ReedTimmerWx2 жыл бұрын
I actually had no role in any of these movies! They just rolled them out. I was not an adviser, consultant or anything haha

You need to quit being in a rush when putting these videos together. Your not chasing a storm . Put more time for your watchers to read your bullit points. Can’t be stopping rewinding, or pausing just to see your videos. Not fun at all.
