Came to ask what size pockets your table has, but I saw another comment with the answer. What size pockets do you think are best for one pocket? And do you think there should be any difference between money games versus tournament play tables? How about any thoughts on diamond versus Brunswick? Thanks so much for all of the content! Your page is a treasure trove for anyone really trying to learn the game 🙏🏽💚✌🏽

Option 2 Carom Bank is far and away the best of the 3. I saw it instantly...Less room for error me thinks. Make 1 ,Carry 1...Learned as a kid in 1 hole. IMO

I do have one question… What’s a professional one pocket player?.. Say a guy like me, who isn’t the greatest player ever, but seems to get the cash all the time… Do I qualify?..
@onepocketagameofcontrolled36463 жыл бұрын
Good question. I suppose some people would say yes. You may think you are, and maybe you are. My loose definition of a professional at any field would greatly be determined by whether this happens to be your main source of income.

@@onepocketagameofcontrolled3646 It was late, I was punchy.. lol.. I think I was making a round about comment on my disdain for tournament one pocket.. Not sure..

Not sure of the angle, but I like choice 2, but I’m trusting the 2nd ball will be pretty close to my hole if I make one, and I’ll get a shot on it… And I’m playing my cue ball to the back rail.. I’ll cut at the spot ball from there, worst case, and have a great shot at getting them all.. Pro chooses 2 as well, and finds the side rail, as you tried to do..
@jacobjones52693 жыл бұрын
Also, the way you shot it makes me believe it’s possible to get real aggressive here, shoot the 2nd shot with speed and go 3 rails with the cue ball… Probably low on the foot rail ball.. You may sell out a bank or you may get a sweet double kiss if one of the balls doesn’t go in clean.. There are pros who would shoot that needing them all.. I might shoot it if it laid real nice..

I saw the 3 ball carom, so that would have been my shot. The bank carom, in my wildest dreams, I would have never seen. lol. I'm down for the next video, Tom.

Dammit, Tom. Are you even human? lol. 2 is the only shot I noticed. I think shot number 3 would be the most reliable and repeatable, though. Awesome!

Billy, #3 is the easiest of the three to begin the run but it is the least desirable of the three shots. Sounds like a contradiction? Well, it's not and here's why. Though the combination carom can be made a higher percentage of the time it also is by far the most risky. The likelihood of running out the game is much lower too because it is difficult to get shape on the two up table balls.

I like option #3.
@onepocketagameofcontrolled36467 жыл бұрын
Mark, believe it or not, you picked the most difficult and dangerous of the three. The first shot offers the highest percentages for making a ball, it also has the highest percentage of sell out risk and the two up table balls are not easy to get to when played late in the inning.

i was looking at where the cueball ended up on each of the very first shots ,,,,,, so number 3 at least left 2 balls near your pocket if you hung the opening ball .......... the rest had left cross corner banks or kick out shots had you missed ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, so in my mind and I am not a 1 pocket player it would all depend on the score the table and pockets etc ,,,,,,,,,, your table plays pretty wide but I am not discrediting you anyways I would choose number 3 because it was offensive and defensive .

Thank you for your comment. That shot is probably the highest percentage play for making a ball and obtaining position but it is also the most risky of options. This option also does not allow for easy position on the two up table balls but you will certainly be in the hunt at 7 to 6. The beauty of this situation is there are positive and negatives for each solution. This makes for interesting discussions. Fail to make the ball and it is likely to leave an easy bank for the win. As far as the tightness of these pockets they are pretty standard 4 1/2" at the opening.

AWESOME OUTS. Wow.

I could see # 2 so that would be my choice. I would hope to move the 2 balls to my pocket...making one would be a bonus. As for #1...that's a wow. All 3 options are impressive (& entertaining).

I seen the three balls near the spot as my chance to win or lose. Knowing they are set up like a practice drill so I would have looked at the two balls up table because of the control(for my skill level) I have at that distance which I always use in most situations unless there's great reward for not doing so, like a dead ball combo to my pocket or a bank with side boards freeing up stroke. Shot two's caroom bank sending both balls towards my pocket was my choice because I could use that confidence in a favorable move giving me some momentum to help any mental flaws or doubt I may have. I didn't see the bank caroom but I have it locked in now. Shot three had too much mental work and distance for me to even think about.
