Oh, she's been doing this for years. It is one of the reason I stopped watching her videos. It's been super clear that she (and others) had an insider knowledge of what's going on at EA and subtly advertises it in her/their videos. The curtain has dropped on this quite a lot, but it was going on when all the creators were denying any connections too. Very clever advertising though. I always wonder if that's her or coaching from EA.

As long as its less random clutter that most people won’t use, I wouldn’t care. Except for the challenge of it, I would hope most people wouldn’t expect to get a full build out of one kit. It should be stuff I can easily blend into whatever I am already playing. So as long as its a good mix of items on theme that go with the game, overall item count can stay the same.

The fricken chin thing! I remember doing really silly series of experiments with two pairs of identical sims - one men one women - to test the issue out more. It's especially egregious with how the game translates jaw line between masc and fem frames, so unless a masc framed sim has the worlds biggest jaw it seems to vanish into nothing on a woman, so when pairing two of the same masc sim together and then getting their zero chin zero jaw daughter as a result it was... always wild.

Infant bugs would be nice to have fixed. Also, my sims autonomously “think about original owner” in heirlooms INCESSANTLY!! It’s so annoying! Then they always get an angry moodlet “dead to me” when only one of them actually knew the original owner. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

My theory is that people tend to prioritize one over the other (cas/bb) depending on their playstyle. This is possibly EA's way of trying to shove kits down everybody's throat and in the end each camp gets less of their desired content but more caching for EA.

I would love that they would fix the bug in city living that there are all the festivals overlapping on each other. They are unplayable and it‘s super annoying. Shortly said, my game is broken 😂

I have that save bloating glitch too however I’m on console (no mods to quick fix it) but I’ve figured out all that junk is tied to the penthouses. If you go into build mode within the penthouses, you should find all the duped crap within the household inventory. You can clean it up quite a bit. & by the way it’s not just city living that it’s affected, it’s all penthouse lots in numerous packs.

@@cecesoft if you play rotational like I do, it’s best to do it in one swoop, so go into build mode within each penthouse from the manage world, skip going into live, then build mode. Just go straight into build mode & back to manage world & rinse & repeat. If you’re dealing with save bloat & you have that cottage living dlc : it’s the fox spawners. Every new save file I have to comb thru all (I think) 13-14 lots to remove that wild fox lot trait. You’ll still have two of those spawners in the world, but removing those 13 lot traits from the lots will have the game stop excessively creating new stretched beings (the stretched sims are actual foxes 😂)

You had the kits mixed up Cassanova Cave means Bachelor's Pad. So it's a men's kit. The Secret Santuary is the one with the Bookshelf door because it's a secret passage.

As usual most of my bugs are not in the laundry list. Overlapping festivals and underwear in the shower. My game is constantly crashing, especially in CAS and build mode. I lost 30 minutes of play time the other day so was fuming. An Auto save feature is long overdue.

I'm wondering if some of these minor uninteresting bugs solved in laundry lists are necessary to solve first for bigger stuff to be fixed, from a coding perspective. Coding, from the bit I've done of it, is so intricated and one small detail you miss can affect so much other stuff. So yeah, maybe not and I'm just delulu, lol. But that would help making sense of the stuff they choose to focus on for fixes. Also maybe they don't have enough information about what is (code-wise) going on for more major bugs, or yeah maybe they're just unsolvable or at least as of now.

Or it could be that they’re lazy and refuse to fix their game so they just do tiny bug fixes that don’t take any real work or time(money) and leave the community unable to say they aren’t doing anything to fix their game. Let me be clear, they aren’t fixing the game. Look at the amount of bug fixes on literally any drop and you will quickly find that there are a hundred more bugs that pop up as a direct consequence of the “bug fix” update. It’s honestly the naïvety, and refusal to admit reality(that billion dollar corporations look out for number 1 first), of the consumer eating this up that allows them to continue.

I was questionning, exploring possibilities, instead of jumping to conclusions about people (which you're apparently familiar with). What you said is possible, but I mean it's something EVERYONE had already previously thought of, so I saw no point in repeating what was already being considered and feeding an echo-chamber. I just know from experience coding isn't as easy as most people (or you) think it is and that literally every detail has huge consequences on affecting the whole code altogether and you can modify one single thing and everything can be messed up (especially the more complex the code gets), and I'm trying to approach it with a fair point of view. There are still human beings, and some of them who grew up with the Sims, behind the title of "developpers" among this billion dollars corporation. And maybe they're also limited by EA's greed, for sure. Maybe they're too late for fixes and should have started actively fixing issues long ago, but I think saying nothing at all is done to fix issues is also an exaggeration. I'm just trying to have a balanced perspective, as a reasonable adult should.

Rebirth is bugged since EA forgot to list all death types. So rebirth only works with a single death type : sims can only die 1 way &stick to it in order to “rebirth”. Base game deaths & dying by crows works for rebirths. But let’s say your sim died by laughter , you saved em and later they swam in the bog for an out of body experience but then ended up with a different death than the first time ? Don’t bother rebirthing that sim cause when you go have em rebirth, they’ll endlessly swim , you’ll never get that manage household screen to choose what family to stick em with (I wish there was a drop bin in manage households for rebirth but there isn’t) if you reload your game while your ghost sim is swimming to try to rebirth, they’ll be deleted out of existence. 👀 I spent one afternoon trying to help console players within the sim forums on a new file to test killing sims and rebirthing 😂 it’s tedious on console.

There IS an autosave feature, BUT, you need the MCCC mod to enable it. It MUST be possible to enable it from the main menu or within the game.

i’m shocked that there aren’t and bug fixes for life&death pack since it clearly needs fixing… the rebirth is not working, the undertaker career has no possibility of taking a day off, the pop ups for the career are also not registering a sim having the maxed skill and previous choices, and the grim reaper career can be maxed out in a week! i’m also missing an updated list for uni courses and benefits for new careers&new skills, they really abandoned it since snowy escape and it really sucks

Funfact about manual saving my game: it fixes things. Most performance / inventory / social interactions issues get fixed when save reloads. (for now fastest way of refreshing) ((it's funny how much shit we tolerate in The Sims 4 just to be able to play))

Auto save might also make people commit to changes they wanted to close the game and pretend didn't happen. But, usually you can turn off autosave features.

I recently returned to the Sims after a break and the game plays quite nice, thank god for social bunny and roaches bug fixes, I stopped using those features because it was so annoying. I'm really waiting for the infant update. They need to make infants less intrusive and fix when you hold them but infant literally slides on the floor at the same time.

see honestly im not a huge fan of this, because I really doubt well get any more items and one thing i want in a kit is if its goinf to include build mode stuff, i want enough to make a generally themed house, and if its outfits i want enough for a whole family, now i feel like theres even going to be less cohesion. The like 1 nice thing about kits is good ones would fit one of those categories
