I have the DVD and basically played it until it cracked! Fortunately, second hand DVD stores started coming out when I wanted to replace the DVD. I love this song including Backdoor lover by the duJour boys (who are a hilarious knockoff of the boy bands of the 1990s.)

Man, still a banger after two decades; I already loved the movie when I saw the movie in theaters as a little kid(holds a special place in my heart because my dad took me to see it) and the soundtrack was freakin awesome(think I wore out that poor CD); now I am so happy this movie is getting the recognition it deserves because it was way ahead of its time plus it introduced me to Rosario Dawson, Rachel Leigh Cook, and warts and all Tara Reid

As a guy born in 1975 who's spent almost 30 years trying to write the perfect pop-punk/power-punk song it was EXTREMELY frustrating how effortlessly Babyface made the pivot from R&B to punk. This is pretty close to the perfect pop-punk song!

I have pictures on my wall, the album in my cd player, pictures of me with the costume at 5 years old and guitar, I wrote a letter last year to Metro Goldwyn Mayer and Universal Studios haha it may sound strange but I’ve wanted to be Josie for 20 years- this movie, Josie, Val and Mal, a girl rock band with cat ears and awesome music and friendship and Alan M. bff guitar dude/becomes boyfriend, literally everything clicked with me instantly like nothing in my life ever has... I never knew about this event, I just had a Josie birthday party last week, and I’m going to Sacramento to see the Josie Van from the film at the California Automobile museum!! My heart is going to burst if I missed my only chance 3 years ago 💔 If anyone is reading that can make a difference, PLEASE consider bringing a show back after COVID 🤞🤞🤞 I have not enough words to express my love

I did too. Either way rachel leigh cook will always be the Josie I think of. I actually have the sound track in a playlist on spotify. The tracks have a couple different writers ,but album says all songs performed by Josie and the Pussycats or I think 2 by De jour. Dawson is actually a talented singer and musician. I had my doubts about Tara Reed learning to play the drums, but Sid Vicious was often unplugged during shows and pretty sure the monkeys drummer couldn't play them either. But was absolutely convinced that Rachel cook did the Vocals. Oh well at least she looked better with cat ears than letters to Cloe girl.

So my parents brought this film and soundtrack from their trip to Australia after they've watched it in the Sun Pictures cinema there. Good music. good film... love it. Then some time later I saw 10 things i hate about you, liking the i want you to want me cover. In all those years inbetween (almost multiple decades) I have never realized that it's the same singer.... I gotta say as well: this is a pretty good voice match to Raechel. I suspected it wasn't her singing but it wasn't so much of as one sometimes sees in movies :'D
