But oftentimes when they had to do reshoots they had to scoop up some of the pies from the floor as a means to save money, they were filmed during the time of the Great Depression after all, and sometimes the floor had things likes nails in them and they would get caught in the pies leading to a few incidents during filming when an actor got hit with a pie that had that random debris in it.
