“Don’t worry about falling out of love, worry about falling out of purpose” This one quote rocked me. Thank you thank you for such a timely interview with Gary Thomas. I feel like God made this message just for our marriage for today .

Gary Thomas seems like such a loving and self sacrificing husband. The only question I would have for him is when would suppressing our own needs in a marriage become unhealthy martyrdom?

Wow! So many good things in this episode, but the planning ahead and creating community to call up and ask for prayer and support when things get hard that was such a touching experience to listen too.

I absolutely loved this episode. It convicted my heart to love my husband as a son of God first. It was true encouragement from the Word of God! Thank you so much.

Oh my goodness! I had this in my cart about a month or 2 ago & now 17 mins in I pulled the trigger & purchased the physical book & audiobook. As always Elijah & Katie, thank you for doing the Lords work & bringing families closer to God.

I loved listening to Gary Thomas again. I knew him way back when he worked for Christian Action Council and I was a field staff member and trainer for them. He and Lisa had 2 young children and one on the way. A lot has changed since back then in my life and theirs. After 46 years of a wonderful marriage, I was widowed 2 two years ago. I related to the woman crying because she hadn't made her husband enough Jello. No matter how wonderful it seems at the time, after they are gone, there are things we wish we'd have done better. Trust me, it's worth the extra effort now,

But that really is SO inconsiderate to never refill the ice cube tray (which takes hours to freeze up)!! Would have been hard for me, too (as a wife). 😣 I think she should have stepped up to just fill the ice cube trays as an act of love/service/consideration. Also, when he talked about the spoon thing, I was totally expecting his wife to be touched by it, but it actually sounded like she was annoyed/ungrateful in her response. Am sure he is storing up lots of treasure in heaven! ❤
