Man this video is so good. As someone with 2000+ hours in the game, the advice he gives here is so good. I expected no less from Jorbs, but just wanted shout out how well he organized the information and how accurately he described the strategies and cards.

I definitely feel like “adrenaline vs wraithform” is a perfect example of why understanding is more important than a tier list. Adrenaline is an excellent card because you can put it in almost any deck and it will make it better. Wraith form is an excellent card because it can completely solve certain important fights entirely on its own, but you can’t necessarily say “Wraith form is S, so click on it every time you see it.”

Super interesting video, and it gives some really useful rules of thumb to have in mind when deck building. I just built an infinite card spam Silent deck following some of this advice, and I even managed to beat the heart with it

I would be very very interested in a video like this for Defect! Trying to kill heart on Ascension 20 is kicking my ass, and the only way I've managed to do it so far is with ludicrous focus scaling (I recognized an opportunity to make an infinite combo deck once, but I fumbled it lol)

Just got the game, but what's crazy... The Silent is the only character I haven't beaten it with once. Everyone keeps saying she's the easiest, but I keep getting caught up in Act 2. (Beat one oc the Daily's with The Watcher)

This game is so frustating. I can barely make it to act 2 90% of the time cuz I get killed by stupid rng fights where I lose by 1-2 short of a shield A. Get garbage cards in act 1 - B. Get decent card picks, but can't get ever any of the combo cards the entire run... and then be thrown other cards that don't work well my build. C. Get nothing, but defence cards.... when I need attack D. Get nothing, but attack cards...when I need defensive cards E. Bad path to Shops being too close together... where you don't have enough gold to remove basic cards F. Get a great start, but then get hard countered on act 1 boss... G. Build to big of a deck... never get the cards I need... like having attack cards when I need defensive, but then get defensive card... when the enemy doesn't have 40 attack staring me down. H. Adding card draw in big decks, but still can never cycle through a 20-30 card deck fast enough. I. Elite farming only for relics I like this game, but I just wanna build a deck without the bullshit rng... constantly fucking me over every run. I got like 72hrs in this game... and I've tried variations of decks experminting due to how bad my luck is with trying to get combo cards that synergize well. A. shield /Poison B. Shiv C. Shield / catalops D. Cloud zero aoe deck (using 0-1 cost cards using nightmare to multiply high attack cards) E. Power options deck (Noxious, Catalops, Dexerty, Accuracy, Envenom, F. 10-15 card decks G. 15-30 card decks I just want a option to pre-build a deck of 5-12 cards cuz' the rng is so horrible.

I've been playing for 100s of hours, beaten A20 with every character but the Silent is just a mystery to me. I feel like the only way I can win with her is when the game just throws good cards my way.

Very interesting! My problem with silent is the early-game though, that I don't wanna add cards that doesn't go with the final build, so I die because I have my tactician without discards, or catalyst without poison (overexaggarating here but yea...) so it would be nice with some guide on how to reach your goal.

Don't force archetypes. Take cards that help you now, and you'll be able to slowly build your lategame deck.

discarding a card is a major upside of dagger throw because of reflex, tactician, and also the large amount of card draw in silent's pool sometimes meaning you just want to discard to be below max hand size.

Why is Tools of the Trade overlooked in the discard deck? You play a free prep every turn.

it's slow it has the same prob as envenom, ur spending one mana now for a reward later but you should almost always take it if it's upgraded and ur playing a discard archtype.

it doesn't do anything until the turn after you've played it. also prepared is an unupgraded common that costs 0 energy; you can just take copies of prepared if you want your deck to regularly play them.

Well Laid Plans was depicted here with 0 energy cost, but it was nerfed quite some time ago to cost 1 energy. I'm guessing that it's a recent video but Jorbs is using the same assets he used in his last tierlist which was very long ago.
