Top Tip: lay your rods flat on the deck when entering the surf, so if you do roll, that don't snap. Also you can make your wee boat go faster by changing props to less pitch. You don't need a bigger outboard, it's probably max size as it is but the standard props are meant for keel boats and general use so you could easily get more from it with a prop swop. Tight lines!

@@gsppuffer Before the cartels took over the upper Mexican coast we went to 3rd, 4th, and 5th, passes, and La Pesca. The only problem was that the land owner killed a jaguar out her back door where we camped on the Soto La Marina River. We met a guide that led a client to kill one nearby the night before we got there, and saw two fresh saucer sized sets of tracks, 5 to 6 inches dia. from them on the way out. The road is paved now, but I'm not going back until they break the cartels. And Congress ain't letting the president do what is needed to stop them. The water is very deep in close at La Pesca. Big coral pieces wash in on the beach from the snapper reefs.

Robby G. Surfside is surf bottom is almost flat since the Brazos dumps so much silt and sand and keeps the water turbid. I have seen the dirty red Brazos water floating on clear blue gulf water at the end of the jetty when it was flat. Kingfish would catch mullet lazing around in the dirty water by shooting up and clearing the surface by them by 10 ft or more. A crew boat or ship can churn up blue water going out the jetty when only muddy water is seen. Port A and Port Isabel are better. Little Shell (coquina beach) to Mansfield are awesome
