This song. Its okay to disagree. But to hate, fight and divide each other is not. No one should deal in absolutes. We all should make an equal effort to understand one another and form strong bonds. America really needs to hear this song.

It blows my mind how these guys never fail to deliver again, and again, and again. Saying I love these guys is an understatement.

[Verse 1] It's so hard to understand just where you're coming from To try to see things from a different point of view Trying not to pigeonhole or simply write you off But it's so much simpler if the parody is true Yeah it's so easy to believe it's really you [Chorus] But I refuse to buy into this tired narrative That anyone who doesn't run with me is a fool And I believe together we can build a better bridge That spans the breadth of stars connecting me to you [Verse 2] Sick of towing party lines across the great divide Sick of human hearts reduced to red or blue There are still often times my thoughts of you are cardboard cutout lies It's so much simpler if the parody is true Yeah it's so easy to believe it's really you Yeah it's so easy to believe it's really you [Chorus] And I refuse to buy into this tired narrative That anyone who doesn't run with me is a fool And I believe together we can build a better bridge That spans the breadth of stars connecting me to you [Bridge] Why's it so hard to just remember That you have a past, a face, a heart, a name? Oh, it's so hard to just remember, yeah That we are less different than we are the same But I have to try Yeah I have to try [Chorus] So I refuse to buy into this tired narrative That anyone who doesn't run with me is a fool And I believe together we can build a better bridge That spans the breadth of stars connecting me to you I refuse to buy into this tired narrative That anyone who doesn't run with me is a fool And I believe together we can build a better bridge That spans the breadth of stars connecting me to you

Imagine a world where everyone would think like the person who wrote these lyrics... Now let's make that happen. ASAP. Peace and respect aren't just a dream, we just have to work for them, truly try. Act and vote wisely, be the best version of yourself, learn from different perspectives and don't dismiss others too easily. If only more people would listen to music with such lyrics. Perhaps artists like Thrice should start making shitty loud music, that every kid would listen to, but with simple and powerful lyrics?🤔 If they sing the right words maybe they'll believe them eventually 😒

'That spans the breadth and starts connecting me to you' is correct lyric

@@hawkstrike18 If Dustin renounces all his old lyrics, then it might be true. But he's a hypocrite and doesn't follow his own lyrics any longer last known. Last interactions show he's very divisive while acting like he's trying to connect in his songs.
@jcmatias5 жыл бұрын
why do u say that? can u please explain?
@droptozro5 жыл бұрын
@@jcmatias me? Go read his Twitter feed... He's divisive and many times quick to judge now all while calling himself a Christian trying to support abortion and LGBTQ and who knows what else. He basically joined the crazy side of the left wing and is blind to his hypocrisy. I don't care if you're left wing etc... But to claim completely antithetical beliefs to it while practicing the opposite is hypocrisy.

Carmine Iallonardo according to the band it’s not a b side it’s 4 tracks they made separate because they thought they didn’t fit palms so they released the vinyl in April
@carmineiallonardo92475 жыл бұрын
Jahtistic Dog is that not b-side means? I always thought it constitutes the songs that make/fit the album. In any regard, glad they exist!

Production on this sounds really flat. The guitars sound really muffled and lost against the drums and bass. That or the upload quality is just poor.
@edisonewell22034 жыл бұрын
This song didn’t make it to the full album. I can imagine that the producer working for their label didn’t feel obligated to put more work into a song that they didn’t believe people would ever hear.

Look. It's so hard to understand just where you're coming from... But I do. But, no, Only Us wasn't boring, and it was an important part of the album. Let's not argue about this though. What matters is that we can agree on that we can enjoy all the songs they release, including our personal favorites.
