The thing I always loved about Thrice shows (back in the day) was how every person there knew every word to ever song. If you listen closely it sounds like he has a slight echo while singing the song, but its just the crowd singing just as loud as him. Rock on!

Ah, Thrice and the "emo" scene. A lot of those bands predictably disappeared but I always thought Thrice stood out from the pack and looking back they were most definitely a cut above. As a huge 80s metal fan at a time when American bands seemed to be deliberately not playing cool guitar licks (late 90s), I remember the guitar playing of Thrice stood out to me. I was like, oh this guy is actually playing and then got into the band more from there. Thrice really took their songwriting and creativity to the next level on Illusion of Safety. Say what you want about the emo scene, that was a great album and Deadbolt was one of the classics from that one \m/

This was the first show I ever went to. I was 15. One of the best nights of my life. I was thrown into the circle pit during this song by some random guy. I was terrified at first, but went nuts in there. I thank that random stranger for forcing me into an experience of a lifetime.
