I like that you didn’t just stain and call it done. You took a little time concealing the damaged areas. I only wish I could go back in time and redo my old refinishing projects and incorporate what I have learned from watching you.

Believe it or not, that was an excellent purchase. I recognized that manufacture. The company has been making tables for a very long time. These tables are mid-Century with a slight traditional feel to them. They are quite smart looking. You did a super job restoring them. Carol from California

These were definitely worth picking up. They looked great after you finished with them. The thing I don't like about factory finishes is that they usually hide the grain and look too bland and uniform. I've found they always look much better once they've been restored with more natural finishes. They seemed to pass final inspection too🐿. It's always nice to have some furry interactions somewhere in the video.

The side that was lighter probably faced a window and was bleached out by the sun. I've come across this is furniture that sat near a window, especially side or end tables that aren't moved around a lot, giving the sun more of a chance to affect the colors

Really baffled why a company would spend the money on walnut, only to hide it under a light color finish, when a cheeper light colored wood could be used. Beautiful work on your part!

Wow you really brought a lot of life back into them! They look a lot better, very vibrant! Only thing I'm not loving are the clover pulls. The overall design is somewhat refined and clean, but the clover pulls feel "cute" or tacky. Since they're original you shouldn't replace them, but I imagine a different set could completely change their look.

At last, it wasn't a cold day for thrifting in Minnesota! I wasn't too excited about those pieces when I started watching the video, but I knew you would do your magic. 👏👏👏 Can you do a "tutorial" about touching up wood? I wouldn't know what to do. That was a perfect touch up. Nicely done as always, squirrel approved! 🐿🐿🐿

Beautiful work! It never ceases to amaze me how many factory finishes cover up GORGEOUS wood grain!! I guess people had blander taste back then. I found a Heywood-Wakefield end table that was factory finished in BLACK. It was nice, but the maple grain underneath was A-mazing… with some careful, yet messy, stripping, handling and staining (maple, sigh), it’s stunning now! You taught me to just jump in, so thanks! Those first steps were nerve wracking…😅
