Don't put wood in the dishwasher! Just scrub it really well with dish soap and dry immediately. Wood exposed to too much water will cause it to swell and possibly split apart. It will also remove the natural oils from the wood and make it brittle once it dries out.

Actually, you CAN put wood in the dishwasher but should remove it BEFORE the drying cycle. It’s good to wet wood on both sides to keep it from warping.💁🏻

Great haul!! The small DIY “vase” is like travel coffee cups that were a rage for a while, the small opening kept your beverage hot longer and the flat bottom kept it from tipping over.

Crockery like the goose jars, you can usually remove the print with citristrip. Also loveeee the crockpot gravy boat!

I 100% bought my grandma one of those crock pots when they came out, it was advertised as a heated gravy boat and it is so perfect for Thanksgiving!

I love that sweater. This is best time of the year to find sweaters--when everyone else is cleaning out their closets. If you do have to cave and buy a new clay pot, there's a way to fake (?) or speed up the aged look. It involves painting the pot with buttermilk...I'm sure the process is somewhere on the internet. I always stop at that Goodwill in Franklin when I'm driving between Nashville and Alabama!

Chloe, there's an embroidery place in Franklin called "Sew What" and I took some pillow covers I thrifted and had them embroidered with our monogram on the edges and they look so great in my guest rm. The pillow shams were $2 and the monogram was $7, so all in I've got custom shames for $18. Unbelievable 🙂
