Y'all, I've gone a little crazy, and hit up SO MANY THRIFT STORES. I'm just too excited about moving into our sweet home! I've got some content loaded, and this is only a third of it! Check out what I found!

I love seeing everything you buy. Those baby clothes are so cute. Love that you found that Dooney bag for so little! You are a trooper for being without a home of your own for so long.

That Dooney handbag is a fabulous find!! It's such a great color too. This week, I found soft blue handmade European leather moccasins for $7.49. They're buttery soft and fit perfectly. I know how finding leather shoes for a great price can make you so happy. Thrift stores are my happy place.

The foley mill is also good for making smooth applesauce! Glady you're finally going to be able to get into your own home. Living out of suitcases and boxes gets old, quick.

Amber glass is used specifically for things that need darkness, like vanilla extract and essential oils. The glass keeps them direct sunlight from affecting them. Also, those small forks are appetizer forks. But super cute!

Just found your channel and binge watched a bunch while working today! My husband and I purchased a 1900 farmhouse last July and are finally just starting to move in due to contractor delays, so getting lots of inspo. 💕 We refinished our floors throughout the house, converted 2 doors and a wall into arches, and added a fireplace. We still have endless projects we will need to do. I’m thinking about documenting it.

That’s a Foley mill for canning etc. separates the tomato juice and keeps the seeds in it.

Most of the goodwills now have people that will look things up online On eBay and Mercari since there are so many collectors and dealers picking them.

In my area they’re just like 4 price points . Every home decor is $4.49 and all cups/mugs 99 cents. Same with clothing. So sometimes I’m like wow that’s cheap or sometimes it’s like that’s expensive LOL

Definitely can understand that dealer go to goodwill will to shop for items to flip because this is there job. They use there time, gas and what ever else it take to run their business! Goodwill was also a place for low income people to shop, so who really get getting the benefits from the goodwill? Not the poor or unfortunate. But goodwill is taking advantage of the free items that are given to them to make more money and not benefit the poor or unfortunate community which is what they stand for!!!

It did seem pricey! You have to watch our local goodwill too. I think they are trying to get the best price possible but they need more training on their pricing!

Hi Kristen, I am so happy that soon you will be in your new home. You are truly a great thrifter. You are really smart with your money. The children's clothes that you bought were so adorable. Children grow so fast out of their clothes so what better way to save money than to buy slightly used clothes that are in really good condition and as the two younger girls grow, you can pass some of them on to them to make use of. Goodwill just keeps going up on ever!!! I use to go often but I only go occasionally. Think I have been twice maybe 3 in the last several months. You could white wash the basket . Acetone will take the ink off the bottle. Great find on the purse.

Toothpaste will remove the black marker on anything. You got some nice thing's you were asking about price's on items at the goodwill. I was told due to to people reselling other people don't get the thing's they need for home or clothing and that reselling ask way to much money and poor people don't have the money. That plate with the plantation house is amazing! I love watching your videos and saying Yes I would have bought that. Love the cute baby clothes. Just FYI I used to work at Gap and if you see any banana republic, gap or old navy with three dots it’s actually from the outlet (personally I find the quality at the outlet is not nearly as nice). Looks like the two jackets are from the real store! 👍 adorable too!

Relate!! Also relate to the homelessness! We moved into a camper end of September and still don’t even know where we’re going or what we’re doing! And we’re on my husbands parents farm so we don’t have our own spot even. And it’s Georgia . And our ac isn’t keeping up. There are days when it’s hotter inside than outside. We have 6 children 10 to 3. We long for a house!!! 😂 So glad your dreams are coming true!

Kristen, I buy for others at thrift stores too! How can you not? Those little jackets were the bomb and I bet fairly pricey when purchased new. Such great finds! I'm not into designer handbags, but I'd definitely grab up that D&B bag just for the quality and simplicity of it. Oh, and while that bedskirt is beautiful and a bit old, it's not vintage. I have the same one, bought from Target circa ~2006 😉 still a great find!

you always find such great items thrifting. I am super cheap. LOL... I think Goodwill has gotten really expensive. We live in Utah now, a smaller town and the thrift stores here are really inexpensive. Wow Your move has been quite a long journey.

Hydrogen peroxide needs to be in a properly sterilized bottle or it will fizz when you move it and is no longer useful or sterile enough to use on cuts. It’s the same as moving food products from a sterilized bottle to something non-sterile.. just not a safe idea. :) it would look cute but I would leave stuff you eat or sanitize with in the original bottles.

Hydrogen Peroxide needs the dark container.I wouldn't keep it in the light either. Love the kids clothes! Three weeks will go fast.

I would caution against moving chemicals to containers orher than what they came in. You no longer have the labeling and warnings, plus glass bottles in the bathroom can get slippery and be dropped. And, yes, hydrogen peroxide has to be protected from light, so that's why it comes in an opaque, dark bottle. There are some restrictions to using copper (copper toxicity) to eat and drink with, so google that. Those blue and white vases were gorgeous.

I Love real plants too and I have a few ( luckily I have a walk out basement with LOTS of south facing windows). Our family room is downstairs so most of the “real” plants aren’t down here? To help you the Silver Kitchen item was a foley at a thrift Store, it was a Item they used to Can tomatoes to Seperate Seeds from getting in thier juices! or anything that needed puréed back in the day!
