Former pro seamstress here with a bunting tip. When sewing the points don’t sew a point but two stitches across. That will give you a crisper point at the bottom once turned side out and ironed.

I was wondering if instead of making the lampshade into a food protecter which is such a great idea , if you could keep the top open and use it with that lace as a lampshade or would it be unsafe? Maybe take a white lampshade and glue the lace on top of it in off white. See what you started? Hahaha love the water beverage idea too so beautiful tasty and refreshing. Oh and who doesn’t love a bunting? I can’t saw to save my life so I give you so much credit spending all that time and care making a very beautiful and special one that will hold special meaning for you and your family . OK, that is a LOT of work for some bunting, no matter how cute. But using the lampshade as a food protector is GENIUS!! I have several of the folding net cloches, but they are aften not big enough & besides, these are much more elegant. The whole concept is lovely.

That is all so beautiful. Wow! My sister is a caterer.. she layers ice and then the fruit/ herbs, more ice then water.. this way the fruit doesn't all sink to the bottom. The ice sort of suspends the fruit/ herbs.. it's visually pleasing and all you do is keep filling with water as needed.

Umbrella: I wonder if one could buy trim, and hot glue gun it on to an old plain umbrella.... Drink spigot glass thing: don't use blueberries....they get sucked into the spigot and plug it up! Looks lovely! So inviting!

I have an easier way to do the buntings. I place my triangle pattern on a folded edge so the fabric is double & cut with pinking sheers. Then you make a hem along the fold & then you can use twine, rope etc. to string the pennants through. It holds up really well.
