Sweet Misty, guilt has never been my friend yet sometimes I've let it taunt me. Here's some advice from a fellow "gastric bypass" survivor. I wouldn't blame myself if I got into a car accident that was caused by a malfunction because I bought the car. Nor should you blame yourself for the lap-band malfunction because you chose to improve your health by having the surgery. Accidents happen and they are not always our fault. You are a joy to watch and I'm grateful for finding your channels that bring such happiness and fun into my life. Now go out there and be the wonderful you that you are. As for me, "I got your back girl with prayers and healing energy headed your way. Can I get an amen subscribers?!

Oh, girl, I'm so sorry. Do NOT blame yourself. So many people are having issues with the Lap band. You are not alone. I have a friend who had it and it did the same thing. She had it removed successfully. Of course, yiu are scared, but know you are surrounded by prayers. We are all lifting you up!

Misty I had the gastric sleeve done 2 years ago. It is extremely personal for some reason....I cried over the loss of my stomach, how I got myself to that place,all of it. I understand EVERYTHING you are saying and these are valid and just let the feelings come and leave. So sorry you're going through this. I had my band removed 1 year after slippage. I was lucky to have it caught in time. It's important to see you surgeon once a year for follow up after lap bands and other weight loss surgery. Praying for a speedy recovery ❤️

Oh honey, I feel ya! I had the Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass Oct 21, 2003. In part of my preop one thing they were pretty stern about was that one had to wait 2 years after surgery to become pregnant. Well, we were pregnant 3 months after. We weren’t planning on any more kids but God had other plans. I found out in the ER and the first call I made was not to my husband but to my surgeon. I ended up being his first patient in that situation so I was a Guinea pig for them. It was a very tough pregnancy and after a couple months we were told that either one or both of us would not make it. So my WLS was October 27th, 2003 and my precious, healthy, miracle baby was born October 20th, 2004. That baby just turned 20, ugh. I did, however, aquire life long health issues but my son is healthy and I received wonderful care. I will be praying and thinking about you, Misty. Love ya!❤

This is exactly why my doctor would not go with the band when it first came out. He was watching the reports about the problems with the sleeve like you are having. I had the Roux-en-Y gastric bypass in 1999. I have had no issues. I wish you all the best with your situation and a quick recovery.

A Lap band is different from a bypass and sleeve. They don’t even do lap bands anymore because of the complications!
