Not only pricey but I tried to donate my dining room table and they refused to take it because I had 5 chairs (an odd number). So show it with 4? Couldn’t understand it. A free donation and much nicer than the ones I saw on their floor.

A older wealthy lady KZbinr was doing a Restore haul on her channel and she was buying a lot and talking abt how wonderful the prices were, I thought wow, a broken side table for 250.00 is NOT a deal to the majority of us. 🤨

I just looked up who profits from Restore and it said the money goes into helping with housing and shelter and generally helps local families. I would think if they lowered their prices, more people would buy therefore helping more people who rely on their services...

Habitate for Humanity, and the items are donated to them so it's a shame they charge so much, the poor people they are supposed to help couldn't even afford to shop there. ☹

Hi Lauren! I loved your bedroom makeover!! One thing I would like to suggest…my old lady decorating eye says that perhaps the windows curtains behind your bed are just a bit too wide…I think they would balance a bit better and show more of your beautiful wall and the curtains would gather and hang prettier if they weren’t quite so wide. Could you consider that? 🤷🏼‍♀️ I do LOVE the fabric in your curtains! Just so soft and pretty! I’m so glad you went with your instincts on the lamps and bought the ones you wanted! They are lovely…light and airy and give your room some beauty! The rug, perfect!! Best wishes on finishing with your decorating and with the continuing work on the house renovation that you own! First and last time I went in a REstore they had a filthy (all manner of stains) used toilet. I remember thinking that seems like a lot for a toilet so later when I went to Depot I checked the prices. New and clean was cheaper.

Those prices are outrageous! Even goodwill has hiked up their prices and it’s largely donated items. Not in the middle of a book at the moment but my favorite book series is the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. In between her big books with lots of detail I’ve enjoyed Janet Evanovich and her number series. It’s an easier read, shorter and an lol each page.

The prices at the Restore are really way too high! I live in NC and two local Restores near me have new furniture priced for more than half of those prices in addition to used furniture priced well. Very sad that thrift stores who get this stuff donated to them for free are that greedy.

In the UK majority of our thrift shops are priced way over the top,occasionally you will find something that has been in the store a while and they reduce them,the way to get bargains on furniture in the UK is by looking at the charity shops who list on ebay... they virtually give things away,but the same store in person are 5 times higher in price..its so daft as ppl will just walk away and buy new as some items are dearer than new items..insane.

My Restore here in Tampa has wonderful prices. I was shocked at the prices of your store. The only thing I paid over $100 for was a perfect rattan dining set, 4 chairs and a glass top for $125! They really move a lot of home goods with the nice pricing. You would think that would be more important so people would want to stop by all the time instead of feeling like you do. Thanks for the ride along. It’s always interesting to see what other states have in their stores.

Oh my gosh !! I never realized that Habitat for Humanity was that expensive !! That's ridiculous. Nice stuff but to high !! I was in a ReHab store in PA last summer and the prices were "out of this world." I have donated furniture and gardening tools in the past to this organization, but no longer. I realize it is a great organization so I support them in other ways. St. Paul deVincent has always had decent and reasonable prices, but l ike Goodwill, prices have gone up.

You can also offer to connect potential buyers with a shipping company. I’ve seen a lot of people do that successfully. That way you can get it out to a larger audience but not have to take on the whole shipping process yourself.

❤Hi Lauren, Do you have any Salvation Army stores in your area? The CEO of Goodwill makes over 1 million dollars annually, & the people w/ the red vests are people that are court ordered to do community service & they get paid nothing! So there is really no reason for there prices to be that high. Salvation Army actually helps people that are struggling. I now donate my things to them❣️

There was a curved glass breakfront in the third store (I think) The glass was curved on front and sides. Finding curved glass is fairly rare and I think quite valuable.
