Fantastic job. Like night and day. I love that color. Ms Lauren you are so adorable. I do hope you are okay. That was scary when the dresser fell on you. Better that the dresser crushed the plastic container because it can be replaced, you can't be replaced. Take care. You are such a hard worker. I want to come over and help you out. This video brings back so many great memories. I worked at The Home Depot for almost 10 yrs in the paint dept. I loved it. I learned so much working there. I used to take home so much free paint. OOPs! Paint is what it was called way back when. Great choice on the color of the HD Behr Chalk Paint. It's a good paint. I love the fluidity and coverage of it. Annie Sloan is still my favorite but I have a few cans of the Behr chalk paint. The wax is of good quality as well. Great idea on the two-sided bucket. I use dawn dish soap for cleaning before painting. Dawn is the best degreaser and a bottle goes a long way because it's concentrated. Use quart paint cans to lift your pieces off the ground. Place a damp paper towel in the baggy with your brush and roller and you can keep it like that for days. Once you finish paying off your school loan, you need to invest in a new workshop.

A tip for your spray can (if you didn’t already do this off camera) when you are finished turn the can upside down and spray the nozzle til the spray comes out clear- it cleans the nozzle so the paint won’t block it.

I painted a dark brown chest with the Behr Chalk paint in Fossil Gray. Used 3 coats of Zissner primer. The hardware was antique bronze so I used the Behr Dark wax. The wax did change the gray to a slightly greenish tint. I painted the huge bun feet last without the primer because I was sick of painting after 3 coats of primer and 2 of chalk paint. Color didn't bleed through and matched the dresser. Glad you didn't try the wax!
